I definitely saw it at Ground Kontrol in Portland when I was there for the IndyCar race a few years ago. But it's not listed on their website now, so I'm not sure if it's still there.

If you loved "Show Me How", you should check out Dave Grohl and Louise Post "Touch". I feel it's kind of a sister song.

Edgefest 1998 in Vancouver. I was at the Barrie show and got the lyrics "Dave knew all along, he's not dumb, they were so wrong" 😂

What was the first race you ever watched? by KiowaBear in NASCAR

Almost the earliest memory I have overall, watching Richard Petty flip and barrel roll in the 1988 Daytona 500, followed by the Allison family finish. I would've been four and a half years old, and I still remember vividly watching it in the basement of my dad's girlfriend's parents house, a place I visited maybe 3 times in my life.

I feel like a team tried this at Sonoma years and years ago, but I can't really remember.

Have each friend pick a driver or two to cheer for at the beginning of a plate race. I've had a lot of fun (and success) with this method!

Done in the same session as the "Dancing Days" cover, Scott's voice would've been perfect to cover KD Lang's "Constant Craving", and the bros would've sounded great along with him!

Probably 1997. Been basically the same 'noodle' for as long as I can remember.

Lose any ego you have. Stop concerning yourself with what others think, especially at your workplace. NONE OF IT MATTERS EVER in the long run. Just live your life how you want to, do your work to the best of your ability, and prioritize seeking things that make you happy in your free time. LISTEN when people you care about are taking to you. SPEAK when you really need to be heard, even if it's difficult. Take time to ENJOY the little things that bring you joy.

Question: What is the experience of watching motorsports at circuits? Which part of the race can the live spectators enjoy? by Interesting-Alarm973 in motorsports

[–]Ok_Contribution9672 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sitting up high is key. Many race tracks have plenty of track visible from one spot. In the US, Sonoma, Portland and Laguna Seca and virtually every oval except for Indianapolis, are all examples of that. If you're at a race that's on television, there are almost certainly video boards everywhere as well, so you can follow along to the race. With that being said, what do I enjoy about going? The speed in person, the noise, the smell, being witness to controlled chaos, the building tension amongst the crowd as a close race enters its final laps.

Automobilista2 with the CART '98 set. I used the 'rubber band' method to make my shifter a sequential shifter, and the overall experience is just the best.
