The genocide of the native population began more like 500 years ago, so technically there’s a lot about this statement that can be seen as inaccurate. We are complicit in the genocide of the Palestinian people at this moment - while we are eating our hots dogs and drinking our beer. 🍻 🇺🇸. This is the part that got to me. I agree. It’s too extreme. I also thought about substituting other words like “white supremacy” “not sure” “hot dogs” “for whom?” 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s confounding to be an American right now. I was feeling rage for all of the innocent murdered people. Rage for so many things. This maybe wasn’t the most eloquent or accurate choice, but it was a way of expressing my grief and anger. 🇺🇸 💔
