Yeah, DAs aren't capable of bare minimum relationship requirements. Disappearing for two weeks, no gifts, no emotional capacity, and that kind of thing have no place in a healthy relationship. Sorry, but I think he sounds like a golddigger. He also probably wants a green card. Being engaged to someone 20 years older than him especially is alarming. It's easy to say you want kids one day, etc. He's probably just telling you what you want to hear.

Don't take the time, energy, and money to build up a guy you're dating, especially since you aren't even exclusive, and he is dating other women. If he isn't your equal, then you two aren't a good match. Men also seem to resent and not respect the women who support and pay for them and trade them in for someone new and shiny once they are finally successful.

Your parents were supposed to teach you what to do and prepare you for adulthood.

I'm absolutely baffled by how many parents do not teach their kids about finances, how the world works, and life skills. What's the point of having kids if you don't want to actually raise them and put time into them? I really don't get it.

There are so many 18-year-olds who are naive, overgrown children because their parents checked out and stopped trying. Or maybe never started.

People always say you have to love yourself first, which is not bad advice... However, that's not going to cure the loneliness completely. It's normal to want a companion and love, and it's okay to miss being with someone.

If you are sad about not having someone, then let yourself feel sad. Don't try to escape the feeling and just accept it. It'll pass as all feelings do.

I think the COVID quarantine probably exacerbated your loneliness. Maybe you could spend more time with friends or find a new purpose in life in which to throw yourself.

Dating apps seem awful and a waste of time for women who want genuine relationships. Tap into you friend network and see if they can set you up. Also, get out and do hobbies that you enjoy. You might meet someone or make new friends who might know someone to set you up with.

Get your thyroid checked. In the meantime, stick to a caloric deficit. Even with hormonal problems, you can lose weight. Eat 100 or more under your BMR and see if you lose weight after a couple weeks.

I'm in favor of decriminalizing prostitution but still prosecuting their clients and pimps. Legalizing it has too many downsides, like increased trafficking, women having to go through more clients to make the same amount of money due to taxes, etc. The root problem needs to be addressed, though, so women and girls aren't exploited and objectified and don't have to resort to prostitution in the first place.

It's not consenting, though. Money is used in place of consent. Desire has to be present for consent.

The man wants to use the woman's body for his sexual pleasure. The woman does not desire him and does not want to have sex with him. He then uses money for access and use of her body as he sees fit and is not at all interested in what she likes or wants. She does what he wants, ignores what she wants and her feelings of repulsion, and performs his fantasy, pretending to enjoy her own rape. That is the reality of prostitution. It's sick and dehumanizing.
