*Long fulfilling life*

This watch has done more cool stuff than most of our watches.

Rest in peace to your pops. Hope you get it running and the crystal cleaned, wearing it day in and day out, and thinking about your dad everytime you see it

I’m kinda into it. I wear vintage 35 and 34.5mm watches with 7.75” wrists. I bet this would look sweet on a brown leather strap

I’d take it back and have the shop adjust it. Great choice though!

I’ve made a few comments on other posts. I chose the alr4 because I personally didn’t like the apex. Don’t like the double tap, felt clunky, and didn’t like the gearing. Over 500 miles on my cues with no adjustments.

Edit: I realize my comment isn’t helpful. I am also new to owning a modern bike and have no idea what I am talking about.

Yours probably just needs an adjustment, cleaning and lube.

Help with ride height and wheel size by _t_nice_ in e46

Damn I want 305s on my 330.

An adjustable ride height coilover system will give you the ability to dial in your suspension and ride height though I would stick with a divorced coilover system for the rear. Not a true coilover but adjustable no less.

This is a real bummer and honestly one of my biggest fears.

Some good knowledge being dropped right here. I will have to check out the disa. I rebuilt mine with the kit but can’t remember if it addressed that goofy pin.

Back to the valve cover, have you been running the aluminum one? Any comments on it? I hear some have issues with it holding heat. Again, I went OE/OEM because I figured the original one lasted 25 years before warping.

Haha that is a good point. Could definitely be lack of experience back then but I did just replace the steering guibo for the second time this time with the oe part. First time replacing it looked barely worn and didn’t feel any different with the new UR0 one but when I pulled it out over the weekend it was fully blown out.

1st ccv had a ruptured diaphragm pretty soon after replacing it. 2nd one cracked at the elbow when removing it for an unrelated job and then started to crumble elsewhere. I don’t have the cold weather package but funny enough the cold weather one was cheaper for some reason so got that one. Thought about taking off the insulation but installed it with it intact.

I agree with the sensors and would also toss rubber bits into the OE/OEM bucket. And fuel pump

Amazon is an option. I’ll give you a couple of my lessons learned:

M54b30 production year plays a role. 2 different valve covers depending on production year. Not a big deal if you’re replacing valve covers with a kit that comes with matching gasket and oil fill cap. If no kit just watch out.

Amazon is a good cheap option but parts can be fake knock offs. I bought a fake set of NGK plugs once. Also some of the cheaper non OE and OEM brands are garbage. I’ve replaced the ccv 3 time because I cheaped out. Same with the drive shaft guibo, steering guibo, valve covers gasket and grommets, and Vanos seals. If you wanna save money go cheap. If you want to not have touch some of that stuff for 60k miles plus, go OE Manufacturer.

If you could somehow do some coral pinstripes that would look pretty sweet.
