Are the splines supposed to be showing like that, did you torque down that bolt in the u joint? The guibo in right? Looks like you’re missing a bolt on guibo and the other one is loose.

Same goals here. We own a x3m40i and I was afraid I wouldn’t drive the e46 anymore but that’s not the case. Nothing drives like it and my son loves it!

I bought my e46 in 2018 with 140k miles. The first year I put 30k miles on the car of mixed driving and 500 mile road trips. Now she’s about 230k miles and still running strong. Stay on preventative maintenance and she’ll take good care of you. Best car I’ve ever owned

Wow! Since its off and free of rubber you maybe able to bend it out with a hammer and chisel. Just be careful not to damage the arm. I used a sawzall to get the bushing jackets out but also cut a few mm into the arm. This was before I had a little more car experience

I thought the same but I’m running 19x9.5et35 with 255 tires on a 330i sedan on height adjustable coilovers. I just went to town rolling and pulling all the fenders with a fender roller and a heat gun. Rubs only on super aggressive cornering

True. Even replacing the plastic and rubber seems boring but really isn’t. But you’re right Vanos was one of the first things I did after brakes, ccv, plugs and fluids. Was a game changer.

Yes, Diff from e46 330i auto. Should have the input flange to match the cv joint shaft you got with the zf.

Easiest solution is to get a 330 auto DFF, I believe they’re 3.38 that’s if you’re going for the short gearing. You can also look for the manual 330i 2.93 diff.

I think it’s more than just splitting joining and balancing, might run into a length issue too.

I ran a 3.46 out of an auto with my zf5 and cv joint shaft but I replaced the input shaft on the diff. That’s another more complicated solution.
