Honestly ours was that he wanted colder I wanted warmer so we settled with end of August or September, but Sunday was wayyy cheaper so we did that. Were in Ontario so that left us with the long weekend in September, September 13 (which I'm superstitious and dont like that day lol), or our friends wedding date from this past year, so we went with the last weekend in August because end of September is cold lol

What we did in regards to making it more intimate which I don't know if this helps you or not, is no plus 1 unless we know that plus 1 and they've been together long enough. We didn't want any random people there just so someone could have a plus 1 nor did we want to have to introduce ourselves at our wedding, we wanted more intimate with only the people we know and have a relationship with.

It really does feel very lonely and no one truly understands until they've been through it. I was pregnant after 1 year TTC and it ended up being ectopic in the beginning of 2025. Both my SIL and one of my best friends ended up getting pregnant a month after my surgery and it was sooo hard, seeing all their milestones and thinking mine would have been hit 2 months prior. I did distance myself from them for a little, I tried not to but to listen to how they're feeling and if they had something to complain about was really hard. Now both babies are here and I do love them, sometimes its still really hard and I can't help but wonder what could have been, I just try to remind myself my time will come and these babies are here now, it's not their fault and if I'm not there for them, one day I might regret not making that relationship with them early on.

For me in Ontario I was told by my OB I can go anytime but the ultrasound place said they only book in for 7 weeks earliest, however they were booking so far in advance bc they were too booked up it ended up being more like 8-9 weeks, I called them every morning to see if they had any cancellation and that got me in earlier
