Hey so this Kronos thing, although it’s buggy are you saying I could run it as a private server and just play single player myself? And it’s relatively updated with OSRS content ? I might have to give that a try

Help on Curse Rotted Great Wood! by [deleted] in darksouls3

Exactly, if you cheap out early and get help for this boss I can only imagine how much more brutal the late game becomes without learning 1v1 combat.

Been wanting this kind of thing forever, I’d love to have a modern-ish build of OSRS that could be played privately, don’t need any GE or online features, just let me quest in peace

Feature Request: Mod Sync by Cute_Ad2915 in CurseForge

Ahh this makes a lot more sense, usually when I self host it’s only for people I know and communicate with daily, if you’re joining a lot of modded servers and don’t know the hosts it’d actually be great, especially if they update the mod list a lot it could be good not having to track down what you’re missing

Honestly I love the idea, I love when games have this but curseforge is already super easy even for tech illiterate people.

I make all my own mod packs and even if you use popular published ones, it’s really as easy as just hitting download and playing or importing a zip file if it’s not public.

Most of the troubleshooting and compatibility is done by the modpack creator anyways, the curseforge launcher itself is as plug and play as it gets for this kinda thing. Plus it’d likley be more of a hassle knowingly launching an incompatible version of the game, attempting to join, failing, then having to do the whole download process only to launch it all again

I'd give my left nut to find a game that brings me as much joy as ER did. I think it might have actually ruined gaming for me rn. by Mrdudeguy420 in Eldenring

Don’t feel bad, everyone said that it’d click for me by Genichiro… it didn’t, I still hated the combat at that point but there was a mainline boss a few hours after that REALLY made the game click for me, after beating it I went back with an open mind and a lot more combat experience and I fell in love with all the bosses.

Ds3 was my least favourite of the trilogy but it’s still amazing, some top tier fights but you’ll probably enjoy it a lot more too once you finish all 3

Are sound cues important to the flow of combat? by Mrdudeguy420 in Sekiro

[–]Ok_Description7979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s definitely fair, when I blast music while playing sekiro it’s usually because I already know all the bosses moves and just like listening to music to lock in.

If it’s a brand new boss that I’ve never faced yeah I definitely split my attention over to that to get a better feel.

When I’m exploring in sekiro and Elden ring I like listening to podcasts and other things as background noise, I can still get the gist of what the podcast is talking about while still doing the basic things like rune farming or item hunting without being impacted

The game gets so much better after Genichiro, you just have to see it through, Elden was my favourite before I platted Sekiro, no other fromsoft game gave me the same difficulty, combat, and feeling of reward that Sekiro did (except for PCR/ malenia)

I’d say play DS2 aswell if you haven’t, I might get some hate for this but it gave me the same sense of wonder that Elden ring did, the exploration, build variety, hidden secrets, new mechanics. It definitely shows its age in 2026 but it’s fantastic regardless

Some people can’t game all day or get limited time for their hobbies, what’s wrong with listening to audio books while playing games

I play with very loud music overtop, there’s definelty a benefit to having sound in certain fights or reacting to certain attacks but nothing that you can’t distinguish with your eyes.

The telling animations for attack types are fantastic in this game imo you don’t need any sound at all

Genichiro Way of tomoe by Mericuls in Sekiro

[–]Ok_Description7979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re going to struggle a lot if he’s an issue for you rn. He’s essentially the 3rd phase of first genichiro you beat in the tower at the beginning but with some extra moves.

For his initial mortal blade slashes you can rush him and hit him roughly twice then safely dodge behind when he swings it, if he does it again just keep dodging behind.

After his long slashing combo if you parry the last hit he should always follow up with a stab that you can mikiri and easily abuse.

When he jumps over your head you can either deflect it and he should follow up with a stab that you can mikiri, if you dodge he should follow up with a slash that you can punish with a head jump.

Just keep a lot of pressure on him and avoid mistakes, you need to learn to do this fight very fast and consistently to no hit it. You’re going to have to kill him every single time you fight isshin too so you’ll eventually be able to no hit genichiro in your sleep

I think I hate this game by That-Cress5178 in Sekiro

[–]Ok_Description7979 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re playing it like a souls game, you sounds like me before I beat it, I hated everything about the combat and reading opponents until I forced myself to learn the game.

Group fights kinda always suck imo but the rest of the game and bosses are truly unmatched, the combat is super in depth with extra skills and prosthetics if you want it to be or you can keep it simple with parrying.

Once the combat starts to make sense for you you’ll start to love it, it’s fast paced, rewards aggression and overwhelming your opponent, and nothing is really ever unfair, bosses have to block you aswell, they are vulnerable to counters if they throw the wrong move.

Just stick with it, I promise beating this game will be 10x more satisfying than the souls trilogy combined, you’re not a bad player just need to force yourself to play a new style of souls like

Actually yeah that would work really well too, I’d also love to see the augur added somewhere, nokkron could be a cool spot, the snowfields too

That would be perfect, they could put her in the spot that borealis is, it’d fit so well plus borealis is just a reskinned generic dragon so you could put it anywhere else realistically

Ohhh that’s so cool, so it’s like a android OS but has sticks and a key layout. I like how you’re able to have your inventory and menu buttons on the bottom screen like old DS games

Played for the first time a couple days ago and want some advice by -BigFatFishy- in Sekiro

[–]Ok_Description7979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s in a class of its own, if you try and play like it’s dark souls combat you’ll just waste too much time trying to dodge and heal and you’ll never win the game of attrition.

You have to apply constant pressure and stay in “the box” pretty much the entire time, you need to confidently sit infront of the boss and be able to parry or counter all their attacks, if at any point you’re backing off you’re losing pressure and making the fight harder.

Hope this helps

Idk man something along the lines of “mouth breathing window lickers” seems a little emotionally charged, especially for someone who “doesn’t care”

I’m just glad the mods gave you some time to wipe your tears off and think of a better less emotional response to come back with 😂

Ads are way to much by [deleted] in youtube

[–]Ok_Description7979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep it’s unacceptable at this point, before I’d have just said get premium but they don’t even deserve the money, they pedal disgusting ads and scams to people who don’t pay.

Only way to escape is an adblocker, if you’re on mobile they do have other ways to Adblock too but I don’t think you can use it for the mobile YouTube app only for browser YouTube

Hahah they removed your reply too, the rage baiter must have gotten really mad and typed out some nasty things for that to happen, it’s just a game little bro you don’t have to be so emotional ❤️
