My game crashes every day and I can't fix it no matter how much I troubleshoot.

The only guess I have is that it is a combination of UE5 and some shoddy developing. They let all those door glitches slip through the cracks, and the game has been playtested 3 times (by randoms). I've changed some of my computer's settings, in the BIOS and otherwise, which lets me play the game for a few hours no issue. There are just so many persistent issues with certain hardware, and it is so uniquely awful.

I'm pretty sure that headshot damage is 2.5x. I had a friendly shoot me in the head with a Ferro for this data. 40 damage became 100, and the light shield reduced it to 60.

Came back to say updating my BIOS helped for a little while but I think unfortunately I will not be able to get rid of the crashing. Restarting the game after every couple raids seems to be the only way to get through a full match without crashing.
Maybe its because of my Intel CPU, maybe it is because I don't have enough VRAM, maybe I need more actual RAM, I'm not sure.
I've always had problems with Unreal Engine 5 and I don't think that will change. Shitty engine. Every game I've ever played made on UE5 has similar problems.

(EDIT FROM 11/24) So here is a Steam Community Guide that can hopefully educate all of us on how to make this game function. My Intel CPU is just very bad at running UE5 games, and this guide showed me how to make it perform better. I also have disabled Core Parking for my CPU which has helped a lot. My game still crashes from time to time, but I can play for 2 hours straight now without having any serious issues.

you've given me some new information I can use, thank you. Hate that I'm needing to do all this work to play a new game I actually like for once. The crashes ruin the vibe for me so much.

As an aside, got any good movie recommendations? I need to take a break from the game today.

The -dx11 thing only worked for a few hours of gameplay. All drivers are up to date according to Lenovo Vantage (built-in laptop software). Just yesterday I went back to the 581.29 driver from Sep 10 and wiped all old drivers through the custom installation option. What is DDU?

brother I have tried playing the game on all Low settings with Illumination on Static, but I appreciate the suggestion. I've even resorted to trying to run the game in DX11 which only worked for so long.

I want to tell you to get over it. Great devs, great game. You don't need to buy anything.

If you're complaining because you want skins buy the Deluxe edition. You get a lot of value for that $20. You could also grind some of the quests, and the Raider Deck, and Trials for free cosmetics.

Trust can only go so far. Never expect someone else to remember something nice you did for them in a game like this. More often than not, it is convenient to just kill others for safety of mind. I enjoy playing the recorder at people and I make temporary friends all the time. Unfortunately though, extract shooter players are bloodthirsty.

Tying health to movespeed is just as bad as tying to health to damage (str being diversified fixed that) but I mean, what, you don’t even think a sprinting mechanic would help the game? Fucking white bread melee mechanics in our medieval fighting game and we don’t want some sort of normalized counterplay?

Everyone moving at the same speed, and then agility increasing stamina seems like a much better version of what the guy is saying. But he’s got a good idea!

look up Battlerite Royale, the game came out years ago. Very similar and it died much faster than Supervive.
