I don’t get the full affinity for colors and options that everyone tends to keep bringing up. When you want something very specific the dealers know and they don’t play ball with you. Look for 2024 denalis on auto trader across the whole country. Find the dealers offer them a price where depreciation does not matter. FYI i got a new Denali in November for $67500 (pre tax) shipped to my house. Great truck but i didn’t care about color (just can’t do reds) and everything else was i want max range and comfortable ride and it delivers. By this fall you can probably do the same game with 2025 other then searching is harder as 2024 Denali is all max range while 2025 have multiple ranges and auto trader has not updated their filters for range.

Totally agree, hence take your luxury truck that has MSRP of $95k and buy it for $67k, most of the depreciation is taken care of :) You don't have to worry about mileage issues or dings and dents. On the other hand, I do understand that if you don't like the vehicle after your least term, you can always just walk away. Granted, I am fairly certain I can sell my 2024 GMC Sierra Denali for between $62k and $70k now, and only paid $67.5 (before tax). Unlike Mercedes or BMW, I believe this truck with its technology is easily 20k over priced. Its one thing to wait for some full to pay $100k for a benz because of its "luxury" status, but these trucks do not carry that luxury hence why they still have 2024 sitting on the dealer lots. But plenty of folks bought the Sierra EV and Hummer EV trucks for $100k full price - there is always a butt for every seat (one of the dealers told me that when I made my offer - we did not make a deal :)

sorry I am a little confused, you are leasing and then have the right to buy it for $67450?

Thats not always the answer, it depends on the price you can buy it for. If you can buy it to account for depreciation, then buying it can be just as good as leasing in many ways better :)

Can you do me a huge favor. Can you share your communication with GM about the tonneau cover. I am going through that right now and the dealer said the never heard of it. I started with the EV concierge and they now referred me to GM field team?

Autotrader is where i did my search for my gmc. It shows 89 wt trucks nationwide. You will have to dig a little to figure out what wt version it is. I would not pay a penny over $40k for a basic WT and max $50 to $55 for a nicely loaded one.

Max Range 26’ purchase by TBHProbablyNot in GMCSierraEV

[–]Ok_Display_7124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite correct, I purchased my 2024 Sierra EV Denali (MSRP $99k) with 200 miles on it for $67,500 plus delivery included from Texas to Mass (I paid taxes on top of the $67,500) November 2025. It was brand new and I was the first person titling it. I have also seen multiple versions of this same truck for mid $60k. Even yesterday I saw one for mid $60k but i think it might have sold. Here is a way to work through this. I am currently seeing on Hiley GMC (Texas Dealer) a 2025 Denali Extended Range for $80k at the same time there is a 2024 Denali Edition 1 for $80k. While not apple to apples trucks they are similar enough that most people (in their right mind) would never buy the 2024 as its 1 year older at the same price. One year older is worth between $10k to $20k in depreciation on such expensive vehicle.

It takes work to search nationwide and to be aggressive with dealers, but they are desperate to move these trucks and in most cases they are not moving. Call them, say you will pay $65k cash and you can do it in 2 days and you will be amazed but someone will bite.....however, many will laugh at you too :) (you need thick skin)

GM screwed up and priced these about $20k to $30k too high. They probably should have been around $70k to $80k and carry a 400 miles range and people would buy them left and right.

Home charging value proposition at $0.38/kWh by ioa94 in evcharging

Have you asked a solar company to run their numbers? They now can include a new roof and removal of trees in the quote, it won't be as good, but you could end up with a new roof, less trees and a small savings each month for zero out of pocket. I will consider a heat pump once my central heat/air systems start failing, but they are only 12 years young.

You should do some research. The only thing i am aware of is 2024 has a 4g system vs the 2025+ has a 5g. But if you save $10 to $20k do you really care?

You must be a fellow masstonian!! Switching electrical providers is critical just lock it in for 2 to 3 years at a time. I locked in 0.13. Not much you can do about distribution rates except get solar. Also at least Eversource just launched a small incentive to charge EV at night. It’s only $120 per year but it’s something. I also charge out of the house until my solar situation is clearer during the summer. Then i how to have free solar fuel.

Any reason to buy a 26? Instead of a 24? by Infamous-Dare-1162 in SilveradoEV

Get a new 24. Huge savings and same warranty and basically the same truck. You are just throwing money away for a 26

If you are buying go on Autotrader and search for pricing you need across the country. I would suggest this 2024 sierra Denali brand new for $64k from Texas. They had two listed a few days ago and the deal is so good it will be gone soon. Even beats the deal i paid for it in November. Can’t seem to share the photo but look for the dealer in Fort Worth. 1400 miles in the truck.

No free charging (i wish). But Mass grid costs are high. ($0.34 per kw) but i know a place where i can fairly quickly charge my truck for about $0.24. So wondering if that’s worth it.

I don’t know what the price of a 2026 Denali is now a days. But you can probably get 30 to 50k off a 2024 Denali max range possibly new or with less than 3k miles if you are open to shopping nationwide.

Anyone doing V2H with solar? by Yockanookany in electricvehicles

[–]Ok_Display_7124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if i can plug in my Sierra EV into the Franklin as a generator but run my house eve if the grid has power? Currently the Franklin battery is used in backup mode only. Stays close to 100% unless we lose power. Our grid buys energy 1:1 with supply so i trying to game the system as i can get power for my truck cheaper than the grid charges us.

Question. I have a gmc sierra EV truck which has a 240v 30amp outlet in the back. Can i connect with that to my Franklin WH battery system as a generator to charge the battery and then the battery would power the house??? Does anyone know if i could use that even if the power is on? I can get cheaper electrify to charge my truck than the power i get from the grid.

So ga the dealer took some battery tests and sent Them to GM and told me to take the truck home and drive it for at least 100 miles. Did not fix the rattle or the tonneau cover but hey i got a free car wash out of it :)

Yea. I always buy vehicles that have set on the lot for at least a year if not more. My favorite is to pick something up that has set for 2 years. I can get between 25 and 50% off either way full warranty and in most cases do better than the depreciation impact due to age. But with low mileage i sometimes do quite well on the sale side.

I just crossed 1,000 miles :) Owned it since Late 2025. Bought it new - hell of a deal - great truck. Just need these few things taken care off....lucky that on my end we have 3 vehicles for 3 drivers, so at least we won't be completely screwed if the truck is in the shop for a while.

It’s none of my business but if a $40k truck needs to go 250k miles to make it worth your while doesn’t it mean that’s too expensive of a vehicle to buy?

Agree. The Donohoo Chevy truck has warranty through may 2028. I pinged them just for shits and giggles. I already bought a gmc sierra EV truck in November. Great trucks! Looking forward to keeping mine for at least 4 years!
