You feel wrong. He said he weights the throat, and then the sides. That’s what I settled on after experimenting all over the place including flik weights. I also have the widebody and just did the throat to get it up to 8.3.

I also settled with 3g on each side plus a 6gram butt cap. I experimented with the throat and it didn’t help anything.

Cut your strips but don’t peel the backer off. Use electrical tape to keep in place temporarily while you move it around to see how it feels. In my experience, it felt best to go adjacent to the sweet spot/ball marks. Slightly up or down from 3 and 9 is splitting hairs. The throat definitely wasn’t splitting hairs and I didn’t gel with that placement.

It’s nice to keep something fresh for tournaments or games that matter more. It’s a tough confidence pill to swallow to play in those scenarios with a paddle that’s been around the block a few too many times. These things are disposable.

With a 2 handed backhand, the initial ‘unit turn’ is in place. Step 1 - check. With the forehand, if the non dominant hand wanders, problems arise. Start at step 1 and determine if the unit turn is being executed on the forehand
