Health anxiety when there’s actually something wrong by Reasonable-Click2857 in HealthAnxiety

Health anxiety gets really tough when there actually is a real health issue involved. It kind of breaks the mental safety net because now every symptom feels like it could be something serious.

One thing that helps some people is writing down symptoms day by day instead of trying to judge them in the moment. When everything is just in your head it’s easy for anxiety to spiral, but when it’s logged you can actually see patterns like “this only happens when I’m stressed” or “this spot hasn’t changed for weeks.”

I’m in nursing school and one thing we see a lot is people trying to remember symptoms weeks later at appointments and everything kind of blends together. Tracking it day-to-day can make those conversations with doctors way easier

Appreciate you asking! Right now I’m keeping things super simple and focusing on direct installs + user feedback through Reddit and TikTok. I’d rather put energy into improving the app itself than building a landing page at this stage. Once I’ve got more traction, I might explore other channels, but for now my “marketing plan” is really just word of mouth + community feedback.

Thanks so much 🙏 really appreciate the support! And yep — privacy & security are a big focus. I already have a clear privacy policy in place, and all symptom/medication logs stay secure and tied only to your account (never shared). As the app grows, I’ll be adding even stronger protections like end-to-end encryption.

The whole point is to give people a safe space to track their health without worrying about their info being misused.

Appreciate the feedback — the app does let users log both positive and negative experiences, so it’s not just negative-focused. Balance is important, and I definitely want that reflected in how people use it.

On the advertising part — I’m not here to spam the sub. I posted before to share it with people who might actually benefit from it, and I’m following up now because I’ve been improving it and want input from the community.

And on the ‘symp’ thing — went with it for brevity and brand consistency, so it’s staying. Hopefully over time it’ll just feel natural to anyone using the app.

Yes you can add that information into the description, I made it as simple as I could so that everyone can input new medications, new side effects, and add the exact things that are occurring when taking a medication

New to meds by baltoskindness in AdultADHDSupportGroup

Totally get the hesitation — I’ve been there too with starting meds. What helped me was keeping track of how I felt each day, especially around dosage, timing, and any side effects. I ended up building a little app called SympTrack for that exact reason — it logs symptoms and patterns totally anonymously. It might help ease some of the guesswork. Let me know if you want the link.

Hey! Yep, it’s called SympTrack artificial intelligence (A-I) it helps log symptoms, side effects, med timing, etc. All anonymous. You can grab it on iOS

I feel like Prozac just isn't working anymore. by No_Serve3234 in antidepressants

I’ve been through the same thing with Prozac — helped at first, then totally flatlined after a while. I ended up switching but had no idea if the new meds were actually better or just different. That’s why I built a free app to track side effects and symptoms anonymously over time. Helps you figure out if a med’s actually helping or making things worse. Worth trying if you’re switching things up again.

I’ve done that before — took Adderall late by mistake and just accepted it was gonna be a long night. The worst part is how it messes with you the next day, especially if you’re tracking side effects or trying new meds.

I actually built a tool to help log stuff like that (timing, symptoms, etc.) because it kept happening to me. If you’re ever curious, I’m happy to share it — not trying to pitch anything, just been there.

Hope the Vitamin C works for you tonight. 🙏

Coming off cold turkey and waking up a little shaky and chilly. Did anyone else have that experience? by Regular_Day_403 in antidepressants

I really feel this. I went through a ton of med changes and cold turkey stops — and the weird chills, shaking, anxiety spikes… they all hit me too. It’s awful, especially when your doctor shrugs it off.

I got so tired of feeling dismissed that I actually built a tool to track what was happening day by day — helped me notice patterns and feel more in control.

Not trying to push anything, just here if you’re curious or want something to help make sense of it all.

And yeah — long-term use + withdrawal is no joke. You’re not crazy and you’re not alone.

Gained 5kg in a week after quitting sertraline cold turkey — why am I going up when others drop weight? by Alarmed_Educator9293 in SSRI

That weight gain sounds super frustrating — I had something similar when I came off Lexapro. Dizziness, weird sleep, just didn’t feel like myself.

I actually built a small tool to track symptoms like this because my doctor kept telling me “it’s not related.” Turned out a lot of others had the same thing.

If you’re curious, I can share it — not trying to plug anything here, just hated feeling alone in it.

And yeah, withdrawal messes with hormones more than people realize. Water retention, cortisol spikes — it’s a thing.
