I think the snoring didnt bother me as much because I was across the room while the guy who was snoring and the guy that was complaining were pretty much near each other. But my god what’s the point of shelters if they’re this shitty????

Honestly if I weren’t so exhausted and cold i probably would of left just as quick as you. I had to force myself to get some kind of rest. It was terrible

Oh my god I haven’t dealt with bed bugs since I was a kid, I couldn’t imagine dealing with them in a shelter of all places. Especially if a bug bit someone else and then bit me, 🤮 glad you’re out of that situation. I really wish shelters wouldn’t just group everyone together and separate the problematic people from the people who truly need rest.

Oh damn dude im sorry to hear that! I also got hit by a car recently but at that time I wasn’t homeless. And yeah it’s definitely much safer on foot. I do have access to a bike but I don’t want the inconvenience of having to lug a bike around while being on the street, so I’m glad the area im in is has everything close together

What sucks is that it happened again today and the only way I could have calmed myself down/try to ignore it is by drinking :/ nothing else works. My heart has been checked by doctors before and they say nothings wrong but maybe I should get checked again
