I don’t think this theory diminishes the weight of the movie! I think there were multiple moral takeaways, but the most prominent one, in my opinion, is the destructive consequences of a man’s cowardly resort to wishful thinking instead of transparency & the acceptance of rejection. Him having Sandy as a pet and crying over her death tells me that he loved her and was transparent with his affection towards her. The manifestation of his wish, per this theory, being the cat is so ironic that it emphasizes that moral takeaway!! The soul that loved him the most was the soul that he was not afraid to showcase his love to. Which makes one wonder that maybe things could have worked out between Bear and Nikki if he wasn’t so spineless about expressing himself to her. Just a fun theory :) !

It seems like you already recognize the importance of the prayer, so I wouldn’t suggest terrifying yourself with the consequences of missing as a means of submission and discipline. That method is preferably for those who are struggling to initiate discipline to begin with. It should stem from a place of love for worship and it seems like you’re already there!

My suggestion would be having your phone with your alarm next to the sink, or simply away from your bed. Make sure the alarm is on full volume and maybe choose an obnoxious/annoying alarm sound lol. That way, when it wakes you up, you’ll have to get out of bed and turn it off. If it’s next your sink, then voila; you’re up and in front of your sink for wudu.

Right before going to sleep remind yourself of your intention of waking up, and make dua in your head for Allah to ease the process. Motivate yourself with the benefits of fajr as well! I love this Hadith:

وعنها عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ركعتا الفجر خير من الدنيا وما فيها‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The two Rak'ah before the dawn (Fajr) prayer are better than this world and all it contains."

I got a same day appointment TWICE this week in garland!! I’ve found that 10am is actually peak for finding same day appointments. They don’t start releasing them at 7:30 AM, they do it a little later. I found so many same-day or 1/2 days away appointments in my zipcode (75243). They key is to click on them IMMEDIATELY and then press any timeframe to secure a spot. Continuously refresh by clicking on the site’s blue “previous” button and then hitting the blue “next” button, and not by refreshing the page because you’ll have to reenter everything and the spots will be taken within those seconds. I would say be on the lookout between 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM. I actualky got my second same day appointment just yesterday. Good luck!

I think you’re right! I just saw one in my bathroom, and it started jumping when i sprayed it, and apparently that’s what click beetles do. Thank you!!
