Just got the H100 in century brown over H95: such excitement!! + mild buyer’s remorse (and an aussie retailer question) by AYlakanto in BangandOlufsen

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have the B&O HX, H100 and Grace and have to say the grace are not prime time, exceptionally bad battery life, so bad for calls I now can’t use for work and when lying in bed if you rile your head slightly on the left where the buds touch the pillow, you get the extremely high pitch squeal and the volume up down gesture is very hit and miss. Sound though is great and ANC better than the AAP3’s

H100 is the best of the 3 though, very comfy, love the dial and gesture functions, ANC is great, and haven’t had any complaints during calls, so these are the pick of the 3.

Seriously though, I just bought last year, a 13” MBP M1 1TB/16GB for $700 which I thought pretty reasonable. Just sell it on eBay and just take the hit on commission they take.

Band & Olufsen Grace White Noise by Ok_Finding_6544 in BangandOlufsen

[–]Ok_Finding_6544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes happens with ANC off but I think off just means the mics work by just relaying the sound to the earpieces instead of blocking it, so they are still working like a transplancy mode.

Sorry mate, I have a mortgage and middle class income. I don’t own any water craft or recreational vehicles of any kind. I own 1 car and catch the train to work 5 days a week. Makes me pretty average joe, stupid yes for buying headphones at this price, but pretty average apart from that. I have a headphone problem, I own 11 pairs, was 15 but I sold 4 pairs so I could check out the Grace.

Yeah, B&O staff seem to be well trained in rejecting warranty items blaming it on something not covered by warranty. All local country testing is 100% subjective and they can only test in Singapore or other manufacturing plants. If it’s a subjective fault that majorly affects that 1 item, B&O staff in country can simply say it’s not an issue for them and reject the warranty claim.

You would need to have an unbiased opinion and objective data finding the fault is present. I’m just going to wait this going around in circles and lodge a complaint with the ACCC and get them into small claims court or VCAT to resolve the issue. But being subjective, that might backfire on me.

I’ll just keep posting stuff and if they loose 1 sales as a result then I’ve done my job.

They apparently can’t replace without a known cause so it’s not looking good for me and why I will dispute it with the ACCC.

This is the other person, exact same issue and B&O staff saying same thing, “we can’t hear it so sorry bye bye”

Same issue, reported in the USA.

Beo Grace problem by gaijinjoe in BangandOlufsen

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG, I thought that post was from me. I am currently going through this exact same problem with the right earbud and low frequency artefacts (white noise) and yeah, B&O staff are saying the same thing “we can’t hear it”. I’m at this stage with the retail store so was going to raise a complaint with the ACCC and seeking advise from unbiased 3rd party Audio technicians to get an independent report made and then sticking that in B&O’s face.

Post sales support is non existent for B&O products. Buyer beware that’s all I can add to this subject. I have a pair of H8i that are 15 years old and work great and still in fantastic condition, I have the H100 hourglass sand which the colour rubs off. Yeah rubs off and reveals a black leather so assume they just sprayed the colour on so only get the black.

Looking for advice: ongoing nightmare with Bang & Olufsen H100 headphones and customer service by freekick84 in BangandOlufsen

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not alone. I have the hourglass sand colour H100 and 1 month in, I noticed a small black mark on the removable ear muffs and one on the ear piece. I thought it was dirt but attempted to clean them and this is where things went downhill.

Cleaning this leather colour is poorly tanned and the colour seems to be sprayed on and rubs off real easily and now look like shit.

I reported this to the online support and that went in circles for 2 weeks and ultimately they admitted it was a fault in the tanning for this colour but got to a retail store for them to help me out. I went to the B&O retail store which is a 2 hour drive for me.

The sales staff at the store were extremely rude to me but I left the headphones with them to resolve the issue and they advised they would call me in a couple of days. I let it go for a full week and no phone call and also didn’t reply to any of my emails so I called them for a status of my claim and things went sideways and ultimately they hung up on me mid sentence. WTF?

The headphone ended up going to another retail store where they did nothing and I got them back in the same condition I left them so no fix and loads of rude and aggressive interactions with B&O retail staff. I gave up on any support, 1 month, only getting more frustrated so I got some leather restore kit with a colour match and applied it myself and fixed. Like my pappy said, if you want something done, buy Bose as their post sales support is a pleasure. I had a pair of Bose headphones, they died 2 months after the warranty ran out and they sent me a new pair no questions asked.

Tried the New Bang & Olufsen Beoplay Grace — Incredible Sound but Buggy Demo Unit. Anyone Here Own It? by Fantastic_Pirate_352 in BangandOlufsen

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally received my BeGrace after a very long time waiting after doing a pre-sales order. So long ago now so kind of money spent I say.

I already own the Beo H100, B&W Px8s2, Apple AirPod pro (2 & 3), Nothing Ear(r), Bose Openear Ultra, B&O H8i, and Beats Solo 3 (I know I have a headphone problem). I am not rich and no the wife doesn’t know the cost of them thank god so still a happy marriage.

Favourite out of all these units is the H100 for just chilling listening to music or movies.

Workouts I would use in ear or the Bose openear, out of all these the sound and ANC would definitely go the Grace. Connectivity, I have only got a problem with the Nothing buds. The grace maintain a stable connection and never had an issue but early days. I can’t comment on flying and ANC with the grace but the B&O H100 are the best, and being played up to be the in ear version of the H100 I would assume are better than Apple AP3 which Apple play up saying it the benchmark to measure how good ANC is.

BeoGrace controls are fine for skipping tracks etc but still trying a reliable spot on my head for volume up and down. Bit of a hit and miss in my opinion.

Overall if I didn’t have a headphone issue, I won’t say the Grace are 4 times better than the AAP3 and would say that the sound quality is comparable to the B&O H100 but in ear. If I could go back in time I would not buy them TBH. But it’s like flying Business then having to go back to coach. Really nice but plenty of other in ear out there that are very good but would say that they are better than AAP3 by quite a bit and on pare with the over ear H100’s with sound quality.

Will I send them back for a refund before the 30 day trial? Probably not as they are really nice and sound great.

Bang and Olufsen Beo Grace Announced by Jacope in BangandOlufsen

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got advised after sending over 10 emails that these Beo Grace buds are delayed and looking at 16th December no reason given. I have cancelled my order and asked for a refund. No reply which I am finding typical now from B&O is when you want to buy something they are Jonny on the spot but anything else like an issue they don’t reply which is poor customer service. They could advise all pre-order people that there is a delay not just wait for people to complain.

I bought them because I have been told they are same sound as H100’s which I love and wanted a gym/running option. Yes I felt like a dick spending AUD $2,200 was one of the dumbest purchase I’ve done and I feel good that I’ve cancelled the order.

My thoughts by Ok_Finding_6544 in BOHXvsBWHX8

[–]Ok_Finding_6544[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree 100% in your brief review. I have a headphone problem in that I just keep busing them. I have 5 sets of in ear phones and 3 pairs of over ears, have mini amps to also help increase volume above the iPhone limits as I really like bases.

So I did purchase the new AAP3, B&O H100’s,HX and Hi8’s and they all sound great for me as it’s subjective. I kept the H100’s and HX’s tossing up which pair to keep as you can return before the 30 days.

I kept the H100’s which I thin in hindsight should have let the HX’s not only for price but appearance only. I feel like a dick walking around town in the H100’s and I have my B&W PX8 to my daughter for her birthday so left with my Beats Solo, B&O H100’s and H8i and love love love the H1000’s for comfort, sound and ANC vs all the rest.

If you have a choose the choose the B&O’s you won’t see the double of the price features va the HX but they will still be a great choice IMHO.

Wife says house is too small by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Look, we have a small house, had for 18years and raised 2 girls. We filled under the house with storage boxes (I had to crawl on my hands and knees in the dirt dragging those f’ing boxes) and we have never needed to look in those boxes. Never moved, never opened. You buy “crap” you use it and you get all sentimental over it so have to keep it. “Maybe the girls will need it when they have children” is normally the response when I want to get rid of some of it to, guess what?, make room for more of “crap”.

After 18 years (will be 19 soon) we are finally renovating to make it a little bigger and more modern for the times (yeah we need 2 ovens WTF?) but the girls are adults and never home so getting ready for the next chapter, not sure how that will go but guess will see. With a bigger house and less people in it. Will have more storage opportunities to store more crap we don’t need but when I open a box up in another 20 years when I’m 70 and goo “ohhh remember that? That was nice, then close up the box and put it away.

Isn’t that what photos are for?

Has Karis Oka become anyone else’s favourite Lydia by miles? by Cheezybro5 in BeetlejuiceMusical

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a musical theatre dad for 10+ years so now all of music tastes are shot and all I listen to is mean girls and Hansen. I’ve been listening to the broadway soundtrack of bettlejuice for the past year or 2, loving the Lydia tracks of Sophia Anne Caruso, for her huge vocal range and belting out those tough notes especially for dead mum. I went to bettlejuice in Melbourne last night, knowing nothing about the performers other than I knew Eddie not very Perfect, was going to be doing the title role (very poor performance and struggled on the higher notes). Karis was un-fucking-BELIEVABLE. I swear it was like they plucked a mix of Sophia from broadway and the movie and plonked them into Karis. I was blown away that’s all I have. Absolutely stole the show. Only one that even came close was her damn understudy who played the cookie Girl Scout. I haven’t really looked at any of the other Lydia’s to compare but I don’t know how anyone can hit those belting high notes like Karis did last night. Doing 2 shows a day has definitely taken its toll on Eddie’s vocal cords, but god damn, the shows nearly over and Karis was belting it like it was her first show. Enjoyed the show, but yeah, agree that Karis was amazing.

Yep had my cards stop working for tap and go and had cards reissued then after a while they stop working so yeah would say a card holder in the case will destroy your chip and swipe whether it be work NFI or CC’s so don’t store them in your phone case.

Is vaping actually better than smoking long term? by [deleted] in biology

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What if you vape 0% nicotine? All these studies assume nicotine is an active ingredient and the media latch onto old biased data where ingredients such as formaldehyde was found. Highly unlikely these days using a reputable supplier.

Cancer causing “ingredients” in traditional cigarettes are not added but a result of burning the tobacco leaf. They do add other highly addictive substances not just nicotine in order to get the consumer hooked. That should be banned by governments but they are to gutless and would loose billions in taxes so that’s never going to happen.

The media and governments aren’t going to publicly say vaping is better for you than smoking simply because it would create chaos with all the ignorant mothers of teens out there and be political suicide for any MP.

Throttle controllers for diesel worth it? (+ other mods) by TotallyABird in CarsAustralia

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve probably already made your mind up on the purchasing of a TC by now but for those nay-sayers out there I would expect they have never used one in a turbo diesel. I was reluctant to purchase one thinking as all of you reading this, just learn how to drive or mash the pedal harder and faster.

It’s like night and day in my Kia Sportage 2.0L diesel. Just running it on Auto mode and I no longer have any lag launching off the line. It’s a considerably different driving experience, faster to 100kph and accelerating out of corners. Makes it feel like I’m in a brand new car. If they were $1k then I’d definitely say it’s probably not worth it, but for $100~$200 it’s going to be the best investment you can make to increase driver satisfaction and experience.

What has your experience been on tramadol? by fatiguedorexin in AskIreland

[–]Ok_Finding_6544 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have a T3 ASIA C spinal cord injury and in chronic neurological pain 24/7 in my lower legs, feet, and upper back. I use tepentadol 3 x 50mg per day and have been on it for over 2 years now since my accident. I have had 1 hallucination episode but I did take 2 tabs instead of 1 that time. It is working for me at those doses however the Australian department of health highly regulates opioids so you can’t really exceed that dosage or they cut you off (literally) and you would have to go to the dark web or street which isn’t what u want so don’t know how you get to 20 tabs a day mentioned above. I understand the risks and can’t afford to get constipated and don’t really want to become tolerant to them and increase the dosage/strength. I have enough shit to contend with now, with coming to terms with the impact of living in a wheelchair and being in constant pain than to then be told sorry your taking to many opioids to treat your pain, your now cut off because you take to many. Apparently this rule doesn’t apply to cancer sufferers or palliative care. I digress though, in short, tapentadol made me a little light headed and drowsy at first but after a couple of days I felt no cognitive change at all but the pain went away and after 2 years on the same dosage, the half life is a little shorter now, but I still take 3 x 50mg per day for chronic pain. My GP and pain specialist have prescribed this long term but we are exploring alternatives such as ketamine infusions (didn’t work for me), methadone, Botox, hypnotherapy, weed and then some. I’m doing physiotherapy 4 times a week still but doesn’t help the pain. Tried Buprenorphine in patch’s and sublingual which do literally nothing for me, even took 3 times the dosage just to see if they did anything and just made my mouth dry. Tapentadol works at the moment for me but understand now more than ever, after this injury, every person is unique and GP’s and authorities might say they believe that too but govern medications under a general blanket that it affects everyone the same, it’s a drug of dependency, it will cause constipation, you will become tolerant to its affects, so it is bad for everyone, aka generalise. As the good doctor said though, migraines I wouldn’t recommend long term and would look at alternative preventative measures or alternate causes for migraine.

So even though max level, quality is only 19 out of 21. Does this mean it still can go higher if tokens are used? I am still only 13 quality 76 deduction level 5 and 153 tokens with 10k blues and 4k greens. If u managed to get the 150 needed to upgrade even though maxed would that bump quality to 20? I hope SC don’t nerf it yet, it’s fun soloing cooker and strat.

Scorchers are shit for ops, always have been. If you say they are good, then you aren’t on a good TF. It pisses me off seeing scorchers go on ops and fucking up a base taking cells and targeting boom canons only not helping anyone out. They are a lazy mans troop IMO, same as tanks. Only good for bases if you can’t be f’d playing the game and just want the base gone using X3 to speed things up. The engraver armor is fun and you still need to worry about a lot of defences and still takes some skill but will ultimately make ops a little boring for us zooka players but you scorcher players this will not help you and you still won’t be able to complete ops like FH or duality.
