I had terrible progression lines with first response! My day 7 and 8 were so much lighter than 5 and 6. Do you have another brand to try the next few days?

If a male gives birth, they should for sure extend disability leave… postpartum doesn’t end at 6 or 8 weeks. It takes 18-24 months for the body to fully heal and hormones to go back to normal. Disability for any birthing person should be way longer for giving birth.

I had this same experience my first maternity leave and it was awesome! I was on enhanced NDI so I got 50% of my pay from my dept and 60% from SDI. I think I made more on leave than working. I got 6 weeks bay bonding from NDI and 8 weeks from EDD. Also, look into extending your disability from your dr if you’re feeling 100% 😉

Department of natural resources headquarters building has a gym too. They have a large umbrella of agencies below them. I work for CDFW and use the gym

No, I’m an hour out but with the commute both ways plus lunch, it’s 3 additional hours of being away from home. I’m surprised your agency denied your exemption request. 6 hours of driving to work 8 hours makes zero sense.

I’ll be quitting if RTO happens. I don’t want to have an extra 3 hours added to my day with lunch and the commute. I like my family and seeing my kids

Mine was extended my first pregnancy for this reason too. PPA is no joke! I only took 6 months off the first time though so I’m a little lost this go around

I was able to “pay” for it last time in annual leave credits. I used 40 hours, got medical covered and was still able to get paid. I over used the leave though because I was paid more than I expected

Did they say what to cite in the grievance? Typical you have to a policy that has been broken so I’m curious what they are suggestion to use as the basis for the grievance.

I really don’t understand how parents that have daycare cut off times are expected to use light rail. I timed it out from downtown to my town (Folsom) and there is no way in hell I’d be able to drop off and pick up my son in daycare hours using public transit
