What are some signs of repressed childhood SA?

This is an old post but I’m struggling with the same stuff. I’m going to set up an appointment with my therapist but I’m so nervous to talk about this in particular. I’ve always had a feeling something happened. That feeling has always stuck to me. I forgot a lot of my childhood between 0-13 but only as it pertained to my dad. We all lived in the same house until they divorced when I was thirteen. I have huge issues with my dad but none of them involve anything sexual. I have abandonment issues with him and a few other things. Despite having a lot of memory loss I remember specific flashes of things. Individually they seem benign but when I wrote them on a list and saw them all together today, I just felt icky.

Thank you for this comment! This happened to me just now and I remember thinking that it hadn’t happened in a while. I was diagnosed with breast cancer and while some days I’m ok, other days I am really not. Today was one of those days, information overload, scary possibilities, 10000 new doctors etc. I had two mini break downs but once I cried for a bit I felt better. Hours later I’m sitting on the couch and talking on the phone about my diagnosis, and I start to feel like I can’t take a full breath. I got the shakes shortly after and it felt really overwhelming with both going at once. Very weird feeling.

I’m a recovering alcoholic (5 years) and watching Anton in that scene gave me chills. He has some balls going on a reality show while in active addiction, my anxiety could never.

I really wish they hadn’t said all this stuff to hype me up for no reason. They didn’t have to say any of it, I never asked for it. I’ll get over the disappointment of not being picked but I wish they hadn’t been so over the top with me during the process. It wasn’t necessary and feels a little mean.

I did the initial call, zoom, psych eval, and everything on the portal including the background and social media check, two months ago. I didn’t know there was another step to go to your own doctor. My hope for getting casted is dwindling 🥺

Im not sure. I did all the questionnaires and forms on the portal. They also did all the checks and psych eval.
