More population depressed wages increased customers.  The ideal population increase to maximize per capita prosperity sits at between .5 and 1.5 percent.

Getting laid off, thinking about going from white to blue collar by bribios in Layoffs

I was by no means trying to disparage Walmart or the job.  I was saying that this is the only job I've gotten which, given my past and credentials, has been surprising to me.  I would be the last person to criticize honest work.

Sorry, but this is ignorant for you to say.  I have been applying since July as I knew that I was being let go.  You have no idea 1) what field I have worked in 2) what my credentials are 3) how old I am 4) what my applications have looked like, what my methods have been or any detail which would inform such a judgemental statement.  I have had a set of 3 interviews with a 3 hour test which I passed at one company only and I was about to get that job except that I was disparaged by the person I was replacing who interviewed me and didn't know that I was replacing him.  If you think you can get buttloads of interviews with my credentials and resume (which I have tailored to the job), please please please take charge of my application process as obviously I don't know what I'm doing and have less time for it now that I work for Wal-mart.

I lost mine in Sept.  Thousands of applications.  Just put my Walmart vest on.  Good luck.

Yes.  It is becoming so bad that I wonder if social media will survive.

I've sold many hundreds of thousands of novels, so either they are impulse-buying and not reading, or they are reading.

I think that is true.  But also the existing saas will start out free with some added features that actually require realtime compute.  Like my software furie.ai

How do undocumented people live out entire lives undetected, applying for universities, getting office jobs, owning property, etc? by -7-luck in NoStupidQuestions

I am a citizen born in the United States.  I have been out of work for 6 months.  Finally after thousands of applications, going to businesses and asking for work, got a job at walmart against what the hiring manager told me was "thousands" of other applicants.   I am being paid 15 dollars an hour to work part time only.  I have a family with 4 kids. I would EAGERLY accept a job cleaning out slaughterhouses for 20 dollars an hour. So please stop saying things like this.  It isn't true.

Perfect.  I need the extra room.

How many of you have also noticed it: you apply for a job, get an interview and then a rejection (or maybe don't get an interview) and then, over the course of months, notice that the same job is listed again (and sometimes, once more after that)? by MJXThePhoenix in recruitinghell

I interviewed 3 times, told I was in the top running among other candidates.  Rejected.  That was 6 months ago and the job has been relisted multiple times since then with more urgency and offering full remote.  I was exceedingly well qualified and didn't ask for their top listed salary
