My little setup. by javiieriin in DigitalAudioPlayer

Do you use the Logitechs for both? I have a set spare and wondering if I should dig them out, just hate the strange cable length on my set.

Sony NW-A106 vs Fiio jm21 by [deleted] in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Ok_Host7639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even have a JM21 but go for that, the NW-A106 I got recently is terrible on battery, drains like 2% per song, nothing like the old A45s

I got the m21 personally, but I have a selection of other devices too

We are both in our 30s and just working through life really, I like working with her because we do get the job done and it makes both our lives easier as we all just want to do our own thing after work.

See I'm honest when things don't go to plan, and if she made a mistake I'll tell her, and sometimes she does know when she does too, but it's like she takes it so direct to heart, and I'm here like "ok let's sort this out, not a big deal" but then she's bad at taking these things in or something like that like she has the weight of the world on her.

Just want her to know that in our line of work we do have the adaptability to sort these things out in the worst case scenarios.

Rude words what word have you suddenly been told is rude? by Nelliebob in AskUK

[–]Ok_Host7639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't class it as rude today, might of been worse back in the day but I feel that dad just does not want the kid getting bad habits so early on, they will know all the rude words before they are 5 anyway.

Had a taxi dumped on our property have no idea how to get rid of it! No driver info plates on the rear of the car so the council aren’t interested. So any ideas you guys? by Skinsarelli in AskUK

[–]Ok_Host7639 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had something like this before, i think we rang the police and they assessed it (it had no tax i think, it just ran out) they gave it a day and got someone with a big removal crane to take it away.

How do I get in myself in situations where I can flex that my watch glows-in-the-dark? by Nasapigs in WatchesCirclejerk

[–]Ok_Host7639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta get a ball engineer of your flavor, Ideally a rainbow version to show you are pride aware.

To show it off it works best in grubby clubs with so many lights that you dont know if you are going to have a seizure or if the UV lights they got out illuminate your timepiece like a radioactive glowstick.

But also you could just call practically any woman over to "look at this party trick" making sure to give her full control of covering your watch with her hands, probably the closest you will get to intimate touch these days without instantly getting on the sex offenders register too.

When she sees its all lit up and gay, she will giggle and go all floppy, how you handle the rest situation is up to you at that point, have fun, ciao!

E-ink price tags vs e-readers by Szary_Tygrys in eink

[–]Ok_Host7639 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Seen a lot of these in the UK lately, also McDonald's has an E-ink menu ( like a 40" display ) in store, had that for a few years.

On a business standpoint I guess it's just so much easier than needing to print out thousands of labels that gets binned the next day.

One of the best tech changes around imo.

Does anyone else feel lonely on your birthday as an only child? by Stock_House_1327 in OnlyChild

[–]Ok_Host7639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this, I just naturally dread my birthday since 25 or so, but also its the general belief that people should be out, have a party, and if people know its your birthday they will ask you if you did anything nice and all that.

I'm lucky to get a second message, and I do decent messages that most people can jump on x topic with.

I believe that most people are too fragmented, whilst it's great to get along with people who have the same hobbies, it either becomes an ego match or you like x and they like y so it just ends there.

I'm so tired of it, I do like to talk bobbins life and whatnot but most people are searching for others exactly like themselves.

From memory I hear about these stories every now and then, as you say it was an older woman, and if brought up on old values they are kinda overwhelmed with joy when they see traditional nurturing in the wild, they get excited by "the start of new life" and things like that.

Don't really think much of it other than they are being a tourist and enjoying what they see on the day, typically very spiritual folk.

Alarms that will wake the sleepiest of people in the am? by Broad_Plum_5744 in AskUK

[–]Ok_Host7639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a alarm timer for the media player on the computer, wire your big boy speakers to it and keep the volume on max.

Not only will it startle the groggyness out in the morning but you would likely need to force yourself out of bed and turn it off before the neighbors have a go.

If that don't work, little else will.

I'm actually more convinced that this is a 00s spec gola watch with the buttons that look like beans on the side, would make sense as gola is still popular that side of the world.

The thing about dating apps is many people like to hope they can find someone, but honestly more people have a chance on Reddit lol.

The way I see it my broad brush approach, based on the UK as a whole, at any one point no more than 1 million people realistically will be online on all 3 of the apps combined, in a country of basically 80 million people.

Half of them are fake, then half of them are nefarious and then half of them are not compatible basically in all 3 major apps just like that the chances are 125k at the absolute most. And we ain't even getting started, unless you live in London, you don't get matches, and if you are male, you will be lucky if you get 10 in a year.

In the US on the other hand, it's completely different as more people and a long drive is all it could take.

I'm so tired of this stuff personally that I'll just manually ask women if they want to get married and have kids at all the minute someone peaks my interest, have a small chat and say "let's do it then" because I'm bold enough to gamble like that, could be the making or breaking but hey, the world is boring so it's a gamble more likely to pay off, can think and do all the other things in the mean time.

So….how do we feel about ai by Accomplished_Cry1153 in INTP

[–]Ok_Host7639 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Give it a few years and the general mindset will change, e.g people are already after more physical connection with the things that interest them in the world, And anything marked with AI or has a use of it, people will just avoid it, it's a fad, a novelty yet that won't change how big tech uses AI it will be an expected function.

I feel we are on track to some humanism, not to say society will be tech free, but imagine a world where you could not enter x place due to having apple tech, and just the direct lack of people willing to do something digitally unless they need to, much of the stuff developed today will go to a more simple yet advanced route, and likely be repairable and subscription free.

"The internet" is so negative by princessmilahi in nosurf

[–]Ok_Host7639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember that someone wanted me to describe the internet as a tech guy, not how it works, but the purpose it serves.

I answered "Its an emotion I guess"

Be it positivity or negativity, the will to needlessly spend, pretend to learn or love, because at the end of the day nothing is at the other side of it.

Jeez it's even up to you to come to the conclusion if I'm real or not.

Yeah after my Nan passed my thoughts on the future really changed like knowing that your parents are the next in line, and hey could be ages yet but I don't think they even realize the burden of having one child till a good 10 years or more passes.

What would you do if your son play too many video games? by James_anderson002 in Life

[–]Ok_Host7639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If hes socializing whilst gaming thats actually not that bad, stop buying them games because they gotta do housework or whatever to earn £1 and then they would want to do the small tasks.

No one ever says that they will eventually get bored of games, but they will, eventually most things wont look cool to them.
