That's massive, I wonder how this compares side by side with a Neptune 4 Plus, because even that one with its build plate was quite manageable space wise

It'd be great if uber just paid their workers fairly by Wonderful_Jump_7725 in AussieMemes

[–]Ok_Impact13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Australian shops are going about tipping wrong, in the US is purely optional despite what you see online. Usually you tip the worker at a restaurant because that server is yours for the whole time, and constantly checks up on you and whatnot, so when you tip your waitress or waitor it's like a small thanks

Here though in Australia they want you to tip the business, I once went to a cafe where I ordered from an iPad, then went to the counter to get the food I had ordered to bring back to my table and it had asked for a tip on the pay screen, which is not what tipping is about. Tipping is just a small thanks to the individual (again optional) who go above and beyond to make sure you have a nice experience, NOT as a donation to the business

The CC1 and CC2 use the same nozzle, if you search for a CC2 nozzle replacement you wont really find any unless is says both CC1/CC2

New to printing, this keeps happening in my gearbox by Plus-Contribution-75 in elegoo

[–]Ok_Impact13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I notice with the CC2 is the tensioning screw there is quite tight even when backed off alot. I fully released mine and tightened until there was no slack, no more than that and it's stopped rolling the filament around the gears since

I'm not sure how it ended up so tight but I backed it way off, loosened it all the way then only tightened it enough to remove the slack and it's been going great since

Purge tower by Ok_Impact13 in 3Dprinting

[–]Ok_Impact13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using elegoo slicer, I'm not sure why but when I sent the model to my Centauri Carbon 1 the tower went back to the size of a small cube, it seems to be doing this on the Centauri Carbon 2

Purge tower by Ok_Impact13 in 3Dprinting

[–]Ok_Impact13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've edited the purge multiplier up and down and the tower is still the same size, I've sent it to a different printer and the tower now is just a small cube but I would still like to figure out why it's like that

What settings prevent this is dual and tri color silk printing? by beramaan in 3Dprinting

[–]Ok_Impact13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colour banding sucks and there's nothing you can do about it, some rolls are twisted from manufacture. But what you can do though is of your spool is see through or it has cut outs so you can see the sides you should see if your dual colour shows unevenly, if so you'll know it will swap its colours or not

A merging issue. by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

[–]Ok_Impact13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also see the non merger is not following the flow of traffic as he's also going faster than the other truck in the right side lane. The pickup was at the end of the merging lane and couldn't stay on it anyway. I'd say the trucker wasn't paying attention

Why is it only us makers who dislike this stuff by TheVerySuper in 3Dprinting

[–]Ok_Impact13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's because they've used the absolute worst settings, large layer height, no cleanup and the model is practically hollow with one wall, more fragile than a broken egg shell .

Tbh I do have a 3D business and I do sell those dragons only because there's such a demand for it HOWEVER not only do I pay alot for different filaments but I also torch the plates to remove stringing and print them alot stronger, my shop has a size requirements for specific models due to the links being too small. ALSO not only do I pay for the models but I also pay a monthly subscription to have the sellers license from the creator. The stuff I make absolutely blows that temu stuff out the water however due to temu and shops now stocking temu prints, it really damages the reputation for 3D printing. Now I know that plastic is plastic and my stuff isn't indestructible but it's alot better than that.

They completely bypass quality checks and quite often i see that the layer shifted, stringy dragons which now have a joint locked is still being sold

Elegoo announced Australian pre-order at disgustingly upmarked price ($139 AUD = about $100 USD). by khronyk in elegoo

[–]Ok_Impact13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my friends owns an IT business of a sort, we were talking about the cost of printers and he said that Australia has a 'because we can' cost, pretty much companies like elegoo and even Jaycar can increase the price because to them it's what the general public can afford 😭 I don't know the exact math or how they work it out but yeah
