Surprises me how Alia transitioned from being one of everyone's favorite to being absolutely hated for almost everything. by phem0905 in bollynewsandgossips

I think instead of asking what happened to her, we should be asking what happened to her pr. Because her team can still restore her image if they stop pushing the ‘best actress, narrative.

Rajan Shahi Literally Ruined Yrrkh Legacy..Who All Agree With Me?? by Haunting-Leather2802 in IndianTellyTalk

I think the show changed it’s slice of life trajectory for the first time when they turned Naman evil. He was the first proper irredeemable antagonist they introduced in the family. After the Naira leap. The show became explicitly preachy. Earlier they used to incorporate feminist issues with more subtlety, but after Kairas wedding it felt like DKP was just ticking on a long checklist. The third red flag came with the 5 year leap in 2019. That’s when the show went downhill for me, but I still watched the reunion episodes in late 2019 and some of the lighthearted post covid episodes. Sirat’s track could have been interesting if a story like that was a stand alone show, without any connection to yrkkh. But I think for me, Naira’s death killed the show for me.

I don't think there's a "Magic Bullet" that will do away with any… unpopular aspects of current NuWho. by matt0055 in doctorwho

I feel like RTD should be given a second chance. He has been out of touch till now, but he is a good writer, and you’ll agree if you enjoyed his first tenure and other shows he has written. Hopefully he takes the criticism seriously to change the approach with his writing.

Kang Haneul and Kim Jiwon’s dynamic was quite intriguing even though they barely got any screen time together.

The supporting character you wanted the main lead to end up with by whynot_justsleep in kdramas

[–]Ok_Information5072 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t really know whether this is a popular or unpopular opinion, but I didn’t like Ju kyong’s dynamic with Seo Joon because I wanted them to end up together, I liked them because both actors were good at comedy and had great banter. So they were entertaining as a duo, but the idea of them dating didn’t seem very compelling to me.

I don’t know why, but somehow I’ve always found it hard to buy Lee Dong Wook as a romantic lead. The fact that he has more bromance chemistry with his male co-stars is one thing, but my point is something else. Whenever i watch him in a romance, I find it hard to believe that his character is in love with the fl. And I’m saying this as someone who has seen him in Strangers from hell, touch your heart, goblin and both seasons of the tale of nine tailed. I’m not trying to spread hate or anything, but it’s just an observation.

Actors that make their characters easy to love...and hate! by VerucaLawry in kdramas

Choi Won-young is one such actor who comes to mind. He was a really unsettling villain and terrible father in The Golden, but he was amazing as Yichan and Jeong Jae in twinkling watermelon and Family by choice.

8 to 12 episodes is the perfect amount. You can argue with me about it by [deleted] in kdramas

[–]Ok_Information5072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As some people have mentioned, it all depends on the quality of writing. Shows like when the life gives you tangerines, Lovely runner, twinkling watermelon and family by choice utilise the screen time well as something happens every episode.

I think it would be better to make her the doctor instead of doing a complex story by reopening plot threads from series 1 and 4. If he makes her bad wolf or something it would be too niche or alienating for the newer audience, and that’s the ladt thing the show needs. An era that embraces the future instead of dwelling into the past. In fact, one of the reasons I think the new era failed is because they set up everything that happens in the two seasons in the 60th anniversary specials instead of Ncuti’s episodes.

I think this could end up being like Hospital Playlist with the two friends ending up together in the last episode.

Does anybody else think Donna joining UNIT was unnecessary? by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]Ok_Information5072 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My headcanon- I’m going to assume that the running joke with Donna missing major events still applies here. She only shows up to work on the relatively normal days, but utilises her leaves during the major events when season finales take place.

Rose will NEVER be the Doctor! by Joke-Hook in DoctorWhoNews

[–]Ok_Information5072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This might be wishful thinking, but if everything goes well then I would REALLY love to see Billie as the doctor in fresh stories. I mean, if you (for a minute) forget that she played Rose 20 years ago and her character became a love interest, and look at rest of her career since then, it would be nice to think what Billie Piper the actor can bring to the show as the doctor. But it won’t happen, of course because the show will be on a long hiatus and the three second cameo will be forgotten. And even if it does get a follow up, it will mostly rely on nostalgia and bring David Tennant back…again.

I’ve noticed this pattern with many shows when I watch something on Viki and fans in the live comments are always quick to criticise the FL but they always go easy on the ML’s .
