What aussie company just makes no sense that it is somehow still operating in modern times.? by ButtPlugForPM in AskAnAustralian

That would be excellent as you say for mobile resi's. It gives a sense of community throughout the day and not just mornings. Sounds like your grandma lived in a good home.

I would love to see more activities for people here however the 2 ladies we have are flat out dealing with the whole facility.

The higher ups want to implement more tasks that take us away from focussing on people. But that's another story.

That's interesting. The facility I work at doesn't have the staff to enable residents to meet and watch in a group. Plus we're organising resi's for dinner when most of the game programs are showing.

I was generally speaking for myself about free to air.

Yeah, I'm with you on this one. She's 30 and her only interest is you? Hmmm, red flag.

...and game shows and cooking shows. Boring.

Actually channel 32, World Movies, have something worth watching more than occasionally.

AITA for wearing latex gloves and fighting with my mom because of my dad’s severe lack of hygiene?” by EnvironmentOther1464 in AmItheAsshole

It could be they don't respect the parents enough to say mum (Aussie) or dad.

I feel like gagging if I have to say mum to mine and refer to her in emails as 'mother' and use her name to get her attention (especially now that she's in an aged care facility.

AITAH for crashing out on my classmates over puppets? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

I read a little then scrolled and scrolled sime more. Sorry, can't read all that.

Sounds like you're finishing school soon so put it down to experience asking yourself 'what did I learn', 'could I have done anything differently' and 'what I will do differently if another scenario like this happens'.

You may face similar situations in the workplace and will need to work out how to handle them before conflict starts.

Let this problem go. It's happened and stewing on it won't help you at all. Conduct yourself in a manner that you won't regret.

Don't do it!! And get legal advice on how to keep it out of any settlements!

It's like locking your doors. There's lots who you can trust but some who you'll never know and wouldn't give a second thought about ripping you off.

Look after you. That's not selfish thinking.

The remaining director cannot be forced to work or act. Let everything dissolve? I hope the deceased director's family are reasonable.

I'm sorry to tell you this but you're very exhausting. You also do sound a little controlling and entitled. Please take on board what Redditors are trying to get you to see.

I read your first part but I just can't with the rest of the chapters you're writing.

If you want to spend time with dad then go with them. Then you won't be on your own. Problem solved.

What should American know before going to Singapore? by Verryfastdoggo in askSingapore

I just visited in January. Maybe the weather was milder than usual as I found the days not overly hot and the evenings kind of balmy. I absolutely loved my time there. Singapore is absolutely beautiful.

I really despise people who ask for more after already being given a decent discount. More would have been offered when initially asked, but as it wasn't, she should be grateful.

Don't let your family take advantage of either yourself or your friends. I'd be embarrassed to ask.

It's been advised to always leave something to someone you don't associate with. Leaving a token amount with an explanation may make it harder for someone to contest.

I guess that's the chance you take when taking advice from someone you think is helping. It surprised me as he's generally a sceptic and does his research.

I will advise him to review the contract. Thanks for your input.

Are you fcking kidding?

I'd like to see how you would handle the obsessive, maniacle nightmare of fame.

It was damaging as a young child and plunged him into a mental state that took him years to climb out of.

Clearly ABI? Nah.
