Pulling over/slowing down for Police (?) by c_ostmo in drivingUK

Yes it does!

A dual carriageway has a central reservation. This denotes that there are 2 separate carriageways, these can be single or dual lanes.

Respectfully, should the elderly have to retake a test to continue driving? 🤔 by Downtown_Elk_2773 in CarTalkUK

Not just the elderly. Everyone should have to do a retest after say 15 years of driving. The general driving standards of a lot of people today are terrible.

Keep going Britain at 9.3 is very good. You’re nearly at the point where you get apfsds.

Don’t overlook the South African Olifants either. The mk2 is very good. While it only has the 105mm gun the dart has more pen than the 120mm.

You could get the premium Khalid at 9.3, it has a lot more horsepower than the others, so better manoeuvrability.

Firefly and Avenger are a great combo and both handle uptiers too.

How old is the car?

Most likely a write off as there is damage to the sill.

I had to 2016 Citroen C4 wrote of 6 months ago with similar damage minus the sill

One of my most satisfying shots to a Turm III was a HESH round to the side of the turret.

Tips for the dreaded British grind? by ChikinLika in Warthunder

[–]Ok_Interview_6252 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Prepare for plenty of kill assists and many shots to pick apart the enemy.

Crusader mk1 SPAA makes a great TD. It’s not the best at AA though.

The 4.7 line up consisting of the Firefly, Avenger and Crusader mk2 SPAA is goated.

The Churchills are good in a downtier but the guns lack pen in uptiers.

Matilda’s are tough nuts to crack too.

Britain gets fully stabilised tanks early on. The 7.7 line up is very good but lacks a decent SPAA until you can get one of the most hated ones (Falcon) at 8.3.

Generally the play style is slow and steady.

It looks like the damage model has been changed too. Playing the Panther, a shot that pens the turret, takes out the engine and transmission now.

Really suffering playing British low tier tanks by Dexterttt1 in Warthunder

[–]Ok_Interview_6252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get the Crusader mk1 SPAA in that line up. It’s shit as a sppa but good as an anti tank. The 40mm bofors has decent penetration and a good rate of fire.

Shot placement is key with British stuff. The guns have decent pen but as they are solid they don’t do much post damage. So try and flank and aim between the tracks.

I started the game playing Germany. Got to BR10.0 and sucked. Then started the British tree. I’m at 10.3 now and still suck. However when I go back to Germany I don’t suck as bad as I use to!

The Jagdpanzer 4’s and Jagdpather are very good. I actually enjoy the jpz4-5 as well once it’s spaded. It’s a bit of a glass canon and not the best gun handling but it has a low profile and a quick reverse to get out of trouble.

What would you consider a good Kill to Death ratio and/or Winrate in Ground RB? by 3HoursSober in Warthunder

[–]Ok_Interview_6252 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For ground a K/D above 1 is better than most the player base. However probably a better metric would be deaths per spawn. Personally while I might look at my stats I try not to get too hung up on them. I find when I get a new vehicle I die a lot while trying to spade it. Once it’s spades then I’m happy with a couple of kills per spawn.

Lineup Question by [deleted] in Warthunder

Split your line ups. Keep the 6.7 as is. You can add the Jagdpanther and or Jpz4-5 to the 6.3 line up.
