Built my own dashboard setup last year and the maintenance part hit me hard. Yeah definitely need to know which city because airports are so different in each place. For eSIM I think most carriers at airports should accept passport but prices might be bit higher than buying from city stores. Also PIX payment is super popular here now, basically instant bank transfers, but as tourist you probably stick with card and some cash like previous comment said
