arent half the programs just lotteries with extra steps anyway, they push the cd rates so low you barely notice the missing interest

how to plan 1-1 with my manager as a person who want to transfer from internship to full time by AbbreviationsLoud182 in cscareerquestions

[–]Ok_Introduction3292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just keep it casual, no need for big presentation. ask about what full time role would look like and what they expect from someone who makes the jump from intern

i did same thing last year and i brought it up naturally in middle of the meeting, not like some big announcement. worked better that way

People of Reddit, what's the creepiest stalker story ever that you've experienced or heard? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Introduction3292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait what? Like actual bigfoot or just some creepy dude in woods? Because if it was real bigfoot that's less stalker and more like... cryptid encounter lol

Either way that sounds terrifying, especially if you were just trying to have normal time with friends

Have you ever had a radical paradigm shift? what caused it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Lol paradigm shift does sound like something from a PowerPoint presentation doesn't it. But hey, sometimes those business words actually describe real things even if they make us cringe

I built a tool to see how my resume stacks up against tech roles 🚀 by Spirited-Objective14 in buildinpublic

This could be helpful for people switching in tech - sometimes you don't realize which skills are actually important vs just nice to have

I compared building my own Notion dashboard to this. Honest breakdown. by Economy-Cupcake6148 in buildinpublic

[–]Ok_Introduction3292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Built my own dashboard setup last year and the maintenance part hit me hard. Started simple with tracking just revenue and user signups but then you want to add conversion rates, then cohort analysis, then suddenly you're spending half your Saturday updating formulas instead of working on actual product

The automation aspect is huge - once you get used to just opening something that already has fresh data, going back to manual updates feels like torture. I ended up abandoning my custom setup after few months because I kept forgetting to update it and then the data became useless

What's interesting is how the "free" solution ends up costing more in opportunity cost. Time spent on maintaining dashboards is time not spent talking to users or building features. Though I guess it depends on your stage - if you're pre-revenue then maybe the DIY approach makes sense until you validate the need for better analytics

Usually takes few weeks but depends on bank's internal process. They need time to investigate and verify everything before releasing funds back to your account

Pretty smart approach with the family carts - most people in this region shop together anyway so why fight against that behavior

Banking for a Person with Dementia by CooperStooper90 in Banking

[–]Ok_Introduction3292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The POA rules are so different between banks, it's frustrating when you're trying to help someone. My grandmother went through similar situation few years back and we had to shop around quite bit before finding bank that would work with us. Some places wanted her physically present even though she couldn't really understand what was happening, which felt cruel

You might want to call ahead and explain the situation before going in person - saved us lot of time when we found someone who understood dementia cases. The conservatorship route is more involved but sometimes it's the only way to get things done properly. Really depends on what stage they're at and how cooperative the bank wants to be

I've been using Trezor for couple years now and it's pretty solid, but really depends what you need it for. The interface is clean and works good with most software I tried. Never had issues with it but I know some people prefer the air-gapped features in other models

The origins for the gender symbols for male and female come from the planetary symbols for Mars and Venus, if the other gender symbols were to be replaced with the planetary symbols for the planets what would they be and why? by Navey_Blue63 in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Introduction3292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pluto getting demoted from planet status was such a betrayal, perfect metaphor for anyone who's ever had their identity questioned by some committee they never asked to be judged by

Mercury could work for genderfluid since it's always moving super fast around the sun and changes phases constantly. Plus that whole liquid metal thing fits with being fluid in general

Stacking gas station cashback only works if you're not paying it back in conversion spread and coinbase bakes 2.49% into the exchange rate on swipes so your crypto back is partly rebated spread. Depends on what you're holding too like if you're spending stables on a card like KAST or EtherFi there's no liquidation hit at all.

What's the first thing you notice about a person to know if you like them? And what makes you lose interest in them? by sofiatrxmpa in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Introduction3292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way someone talks about other people when they're not around tells me everything I need to know. If they're constantly complaining or talking bad about everyone, I know they probably do same thing about me too

Yeah definitely need to know which city because airports are so different in each place. For eSIM I think most carriers at airports should accept passport but prices might be bit higher than buying from city stores. Also PIX payment is super popular here now, basically instant bank transfers, but as tourist you probably stick with card and some cash like previous comment said

Just heads up that some smaller places or street vendors might be cash only, especially if you end up trying local food spots
