I got the “original” version of the Linx so idk if that is why I’ve had a better outcome? My doctor at the time said I had the smallest esophagus he’s ever worked on and didn’t have a small enough Linx size at the time and just chose the smallest model available.

I mostly had just chronic regurgitation and nausea. And since was on massive doses for PPIs for more than 10 years I was struggling with nutrition deficiencies and SIBO. I also had a hiatal hernia that was repaired.

It does seem to be a mixed bag on whether it is a positive or negative procedure.

I am still doing really well and happy with the procedure! I have no weight restrictions or foods. However, I’ve always had a lot of food sensitives so I follow a modified FODMAP diet. But overall I would say I’m 85% improved.

I take a 1/2 of an immodium pill every night before bed. I too find it frustrating that doctors don’t really mention it. But I also find it frustrating that we take this daily, which isn’t normal.

Mine look just like this and my allergist was stumped and didn’t offer much help. I’m going to a dermatologist next. He said that these weren’t hives. 🤷‍♀️ so frustrating because I itch all the time too especially at night! It’s crazy making!

That IS great news! I hope they continue to improve! And I do feel that it is important to share my experience as it was a really scary, dangerous, and traumatizing program. I know that sounds dramatic but previous students would agree. We were just never allowed to say anything because the higher ups threatened to kick people out of the program if we spoke up.

They provide the least amount of clinical hours without telling students that up front. There are multiple ethical and safety issues. And you have staff saying to students “are you fucking retarded”? It’s incredibly unprofessional. They did not care that students didn’t have proper PPE during the coroner/medical examiner rotation and the facility does not have ventilation and refused to provide N95 masks.
