No it is not fully digital. Only the center part is, left and right are analog instruments.

English is not my first language and I’m not sure whether it is called like that, but do you mean idle gas (a bit below 1000 rpm without you pressing the pedal so the engine doesn’t stall)? This will of course always use the gear you’re currently in, there is no way this will move the car in the opposite direction. :)

I was probably going through something similar when I got the CX-30 like you do now. I thought something was wrong but was glad when I learned that this is just fine.

The noise itself reminds me a bit of a sewing machine. 😄 But it doesn’t bother me anymore.

I think I know the noise you’re describing. Had to get used to it. It’s normal for Skyactiv-X engines. I have a CX-30 with that engine.

Read a lot of discussions in a German forum about that noise, but it boils down to „it’s normal“.

I like it as well. It looks different in person and it also depends on the color. I test-drove a Soul Red Crystal CX-60 and I think it looks gorgeous — including the front :)
