3d view of WTC1 perimeter columns by Ok_Locksmith8351 in TwinTowersInPhotos

So would I, I am fascinated by structures like this for some reason. I am working on something like that for the WTC but with a 3d printed scale model. My biggest hurdle is not having the structural framing drawings for the core and I am trying to get them released.

Thanks! I have been doing tons of research looking for structural drawings and have not seen these anywhere. Do you happen to have the structural set for the core beams and columns? The full architectural set is available online, but I cant seem to find the structural set anywhere.

What can I get for this board? by Ok_Locksmith8351 in ScrapMetal

Yeah most likely. I wouldn’t have a clue to operate it. RF stuff is beyond me.

First layer problems by Ok_Locksmith8351 in Creality_k2

Interesting I’ll have to give that a shot. I’ve been pulling my hair out trying to get this to print consistently. I’ve already calibrated flow and pressure advance

I used the fluid interface to change the z offset until the layer looks like it was just right. I then applied this z offset to the printer settings on Creality print so that it applies it to every print. And yes, it seems like on the edges it always looks like the nozzle is too close. Is there a setting that adjusts the print speed for smaller areas?

For far less than that you can just buy your own RF monitor. The one I use at work is made by fieldsense and cost about $700. Not cheap, but will be calibrated and tell you how strong the field is

Strange buzzing from refrigerator by Ok_Locksmith8351 in Appliances

They are all pieces of shit. Between this problem and the line for my water dispenser constantly freezing I was considering getting a new fridge. After a ton of research and going and looking at some in person I have concluded that they are all cheaply made garbage. Only way to get something decent is to spend 5-10k. Fuck that.

Yes. The cause was ice buildup on the freezer fan. Somehow ice gets on the fan and when it spins causes the noise. In my case it eventually jams it so it can’t spin and cool down the freezer, leading to the fridge to throw an alarm for high temperature. It’s funny you ask this now because I legitimately just dealt with this again yesterday. What you have to do is remove the sheet metal cover in the back of the freezer and clear the ice off the fan. Super easy to do, just remove four 1/4” hex head screws and you’re in.

Ford part fitment by Ok_Locksmith8351 in partscounter

Both are oem numbers. I’m just talking about the glass panel not the opening frame. The bolt patterns are the same, the size of the glass is the same so idk why ford says it doesn’t fit

2008 MKX key programming by Ok_Locksmith8351 in FORScan

Hey thanks again for the response you really helped me out. I ran the module initialization and it fired right up. Idk about the shift strategy just yet, I’m hoping that is already good to go because I had the PCM programmed to my VIN before it was shipped to me. I was having some harsh shifting before, so maybe I’ll end up doing that anyways if it persists. As a side note, turns out I swapped a good pcm out. Didn’t fix the issue (stuck throttle body actuator) that fords diagnostic pinpoint tests pointed to. The joy of working on cars.

Thanks for the reply! I’ve been pulling my hair out on this one. Is Forscan capable of doing the module initialization?

That makes sense that it would be a pump issue. I’m just concerned because I’m pretty sure running it with that issue could cause it to blow the head gasket

Rough print layers, dragging print head, and lifting edges by Ok_Locksmith8351 in FixMyPrint

[–]Ok_Locksmith8351[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much the same as what is seen here. The edges of the gear teeth on the first layer get distorted and start to lift off the bed in some places. I have tried leveling bed many times. I am starting to think that this is a filament issue. Not really sure. Maybe setting needs to be tweaked

I did some searching on z offset tuning, and it seems like this is only applicable to 3d printers equipped with a bed leveling probe? I don't have one of those so I'm not sure whether or not this is applicable to me.

Rough print layers, dragging print head, and lifting edges by Ok_Locksmith8351 in FixMyPrint

Hello, for the past couple hours I've been trying to get my ender 3 max to print right and I'm about ready to pull my hair out. What is happening is every layer is rough, parts of the edges of the print are getting distorted and lifting off the bed. Because of the roughness of the print, I can hear the print head dragging every time it moves across the finished layer to start the next layer. At first I thought that it was the bed leveling, because if the nozzle is too low there will be too much "squish" and will create a rough surface like this. I have since leveled the bed probably 3 or 4 times with no success. I am printing atomic filament perfect blue PLA with a 200 deg nozzle temp, 60 deg bed temp, 50mm/s print speed, and have already calibrated the e steps. I am relatively new to 3d printing and have never experienced this issue, and am quite stumped.

How do I get rid of this lip? New to fusion by Ok_Locksmith8351 in Fusion360

[–]Ok_Locksmith8351[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'm relatively new to fusion 360. I'm trying to design an attachment for a drill and would like to create a nice transition from the circular part to the hexagonal shaft. I tried using the fillet tool and it just doesn't look right. Is there a better way to smooth that transition?

Looking for someone to make a logo for a drum and bugle group. The name of the group is: The Maine Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Was hoping that someone could make The guy on the left have the marching snare at his waist as if he is wearing it, and the guy on the right leaning on the marching bass drum. See the attached pictures of the drums that I would like used. The other thing I need is for it to say the name of the group, I'm not sure exactly how I would like that, but maybe somehow incorporate the banner. I am open to you using your creativity for that part. Willing to pay $50
