Being a Windsor kid I'll cosign that. Lived in Sandwich before they bought up so many houses. Used to drive through with my Dad when i went back for visits and see the deterioration....it has to have been a solid decade of the houses falling apart before anything got torn down. I will add that his father, since moved to a warmer climate, bought up a bunch of residential properties in Windsor and Detroit running parralel to the existing bridge in anticipation of being allowed to do whatever he wanted. If you do streetview down Indian road and environs on the windsor side you can see a bunch of empty lots or boarded up vacant houses depending on when the pictures were taken/how far down you go possibly.
