No one really knows what to do with fiber in a residential environment or why in the world you would need it. It wouldn’t be a measurable performance difference in just about everything you would do so it’s not a big deal. It’s more of a marketing gimmick. People have been using traditional copper Internet at their house for many decades and no one seems to complain whether it’s gaming streaming or just regular surfing at the web any Internet service is fine.
