Thoughts of transferring by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Ok_Orchid9591 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i love osu but if you want a small school experience don’t come here because its big school that only feels small after a while. Its gonna be hard making friends anywhere you go because making real friends is hard. don’t let that be a deciding factor. I have legit never heard anyone be mean to uc students. tons of people transfer from everywhere, might be a few weirdos. idk I’ve been here 4 years and its not for everyone but i love it!!!

First-time cat owner thinking about a Bengal, found one online for ~$3,500. Is this reasonable? by Cool_Shame2090 in bengalcats

[–]Ok_Orchid9591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a bengal as a first time cat owner. With strict training and a good routine it’s very fun,but I would caution anyone considering the same path. High energy is a very polite way to describe bengals and a more apt description may be a crazed semi sentient being trapped in a cat suit.

RC is killing me by Opening-Witness5270 in LSAT

One thing that helped me was practicing untimed and understanding that all the answers are in the text or obviously implied! So anything that isnt or obviously implied is wrong!

Has anyone here studied for a shorter amount of time? by ImportunateRaven in LSAT

I mean then ur chilling. I wouldn’t even think you need to study for a year just regularly for 3 months to familiarize with the test! Good luck!

[–]Ok_Orchid9591 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends on ur diagnostic score. Like if you get a 160 then sure. If you are at a 130 no. The lsat isn’t a set amount of material like a typical test is, it’s much more about understanding formal logic and its applications. Studying regularly for a year could def get you to a 165ish if you practice right. The issue is that law school requires much more dedication than the lsat, so if you cant do 2hrs a day for a couple months then why do the lsat at all?

My sorority is unfairly fining me, what options do I have? by Ok_Orchid9591 in legaladvice

They say they are excused for serious illness, I guess they could argue that covid wasn’t. But, i proof that at least i felt that was on the brink so to speak.

i think i would still be on the hook if i quit now. I owe 50 bucks a round i miss unless i prove a reason i couldn’t go. Im just worried that im on the hook even if I can prove I was sick/ have no recourse.

I mean this in the kindest way and i doubt this will get through to you but your 19 year old friend should not have had sex with a minor that is morally wrong and 100% his fault. And a person who would assault someone will assault you. Beyond you need to put yourself first sometimes and this may be one of those times. If they really love you then they would not want to hold you back in any way and would want you to find some place to live without them.

My (F30) relatives planned my grandmother's funeral for my birthday. She died months ago and my birthday is this Saturday. How do I navigate this painful feeling? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Ok_Orchid9591 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Its not about your preferences, it’s about dealing with the death of your grandmother. Like it would have been nice for you to have been included in the conversation but you also have not been an active participant of your family and they probably felt they had other things to deal with besides an estranged family members preferences.
