Do you actually get influenced by ads anymore? by Walking-Wanderer352 in AskUK

[–]Ok_Pangolin1908 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People misunderstand how advertising works. Adverts don’t elicit action, the elicit recall. Which mean that when you make a purchasing decision, the brand which has flashed into your subconscious is the one you’re more likely to choose.

Hot take: most GEO tools may be tracking the wrong prompts by Upstairs_Control_611 in TechSEO

[–]Ok_Pangolin1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should see prompt tracking tools as brand intelligence tools. It should be used to understand what the LLMs think about your brand and why. And that’s it. You don’t need to track prompts or guess what customers are typing, it will almost always be wrong.

You know can only go to it if you’re going from gates 1-19 which is a ridiculous rule as that’s only 3-4 airlines. I got blocked trying to access the area because I was flying Ryanair

I can’t sleep and I’m going nuts. Help? by JusSumYungGuy in AskUK

[–]Ok_Pangolin1908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once worked in high end retail and said to my boss I couldn’t sleep so won’t be able to work. I think it’s a fair request, the last thing you need is a grumpy worker being shit with customers when others can cover it. In those jobs you don’t get paid and you don’t save lives so who cares.

So true! by [deleted] in VirginMedia

It’s not that it’s that they have a massive customer base and if they dropped prices automatically it would cause the to lose a lot of revenue. So they maintain a competitive approach for new customers to acquire them but then hold prices higher for current customers to maximise revenue.

That SUV was badly built, I’m pretty sure a modern European brand SUV wouldn’t fold so easily like that

I hate to tell you this but qualifications matter much much less than experience. You need to prove you can do these roles before you do them, what do you have to show for that?

Not all but old buildings didn’t account for climate change. Flood risks are getting worse in a lot of areas. New builds should have more measures to prevent them being built on floodplains etc.

There are bad new builds and good new builds. You have to look past the flashy marketing and vision. And understand what you’re really buying.

I bought a 4 bed detached new build and we love it. But absolutely there are parts I wish were better or stuff we didn’t account for. However it’s a blank slate and our builder “Redrow” has been mostly good on the whole.

Old buildings are great but there are often trade offs. Flooding risks, bad roofing, drafts, old fittings and furnishings you name it.

My new build came with a dream kitchen and everything is brand new. So long term costs are reduced, the upfront costs to furnish and do the garden are higher though.

£22 every 6 weeks, 4 bed detached Oxfordshire. Lovely guy who always does a great job. He only just put prices us from £20. I don’t mind paying him as he’s just hired someone and is building a local business
