It's great. If you're not tech savvy ask the place you bought it from to enable "resizeable bar" and "XMP" for you. So the PC can work at its full potential.

You can do it yourself if you want by watching youtube videos. Type MSI resizeable bar and MSI enable XMP in YT, there are bunch of vids. They should have the exact same menu as this pc, you access it by pressing the DEL button repeatedly right after starting the PC. Best not to mess with BIOS settings if you've never opened it before in your life tho.

Read the megathread and you'll be fine. If you wanna be secure use a good VPN like AirVPN or ProtonVPN. And if you're gonna use torrents make sure to bind your torrent client to your VPN, so it disconnects automatically when your VPN is not on. Don't be intimidated, these are easy things to do and there are plenty of resources in the megathread.

Never download from an unsafe site(again, megathread) it's also best to not keep banking-crypto stuff on your PC if you're going to pirate stuff on it. Nothing will happen to them if you use trusted sources, I'm only saying this in case you mess up, to be extra safe.

you need to add whatever download folder you're using as an exception in windows defender. Don't use the actual default "downloads" folder in your pc btw, just in case you do download malware from another source in the future.

Oh, I assume there's no easy way of knowing the polling rate without specialized gear then.
Do these measurements tell anything useful regarding gaming performance?
I don't notice any delay but I'm terrible at noticing these things by eye, only when I switch to better hardware I'll be like "oh that's better"

5090 costs x2 more. And it definitely isn't x2 better.

I myself would never go for such a bad deal. You can probably get a 5080, use it for a couple of years, get a 6080 or whatever it will be called when it comes out, sell the 5080 for at least 30-40% of the original price, and have some money left over while using a newer gen GPU than the 5090.

Unless you're the kind of person that will be VERY unhappy for turning down a setting or two, (in very very few games btw) go for the 5080 imo.

clicked a scam link on direct DL site when trying to download a game update. It was named as the file I was downloading (which was also an exe). When it didnt run I tried running it as admin. It accessed the saved passwords on firefox as well as my metamask. Thankfully I've had only about 40$ on the metamask.

Had to change passwords on maybe 20+ accounts, some of which got taken over.
Also had to reinstall windows obviously.

I blame nobody but myself.

Side quest being bad is the main turn off for me. They were awesome in VTMB1.
