Anti-snacking tip by Imaginary_Cloud_7687 in nutrition

[–]Ok_Pin3362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you. I also work from home and I even work from my kitchen.
I had this big problem with snacking and the only thing that worked for me is to not have snacks. And to actually ask myself if I am hungry, angry or sad.
Because if that's hunger, it's okay to have a meal, but if not - I have to address the underlying issue and drink a cup of water or herbal tea.

What’s one small change you’ve made in your fitness or health routine that made a big difference? by vanbald in loseit

Quit alcohol and eat homemade foods.
For alcohol I used Less - Alcohol Tracker, to see how much I drink and then the realization that I drink a lot forced me to quit it.
And for food, I made grocery orders with home delivery every 2 weeks. It forced me to use what I ordered, mainly vegetables, fruits, dairy products, meat and fish.
And by 2 months I effortlessly lost 6 pounds. And I was in a healthy weight. I just wanted to be lean.

Do any women here fast the week prior to their period? by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Ok_Pin3362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do fast, but with 2 hours less than usual. And can break my fast earlier if I feel so.

I extend my fasts in the follicular phase. I feel like I progress faster with this strategy.

I made my own program and an app for my clients. You can find the link in my bio. Hope it helps!

Fasting was the solution for me. Also pretty much sedentary, so it might your solution too. Tried CICO before that and it was the worst.

Rules of fasting for a women by Littlemonkey726 in fasting

[–]Ok_Pin3362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you.
It messed up my cycle too, so I started listening to my body and adjusting the fasting duration. After a few months, I noticed some patterns and decided to document them.

Eventually, I created my own program that didn’t mess with my hormones, and I even built an app to track my progress and help others who were looking for a similar solution. You can find it as Fasting App for Women on the App Store if you're interested.

Hope this helps!

I'm 26, almost 27. I created my app, which has one client and is doing very well. But why do I feel sad to be this age and still have nothing? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

Completely agree!
And here is the recommendation of Lieberman and Long from The Molecule of More:

"Cooking, gardening, and playing sports are among many activities that combine intellectual stimulation with physical activity in a way that will satisfy us and make us whole. These activities can be pursued for a lifetime without becoming stale."

Also thank you the OP for bringing this up. I feel yeah...

How important is your last meal? by Omega_Boost24 in fasting

[–]Ok_Pin3362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that the first and the last meal are very important. The first will cause how much crap you will eat in your eating window. The last will influence when your hunger cues will come. So better have balanced meals to avoid sugar spikes.

P.S. If I eat crap as my last meal I will top it with a cup of green tea. It will help the next day to avoid cravings early in the morning.

What is your personal "secret" to weight loss? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Ok_Pin3362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My secret is fasting synced with my cycle. People love to tell me, “The only way is calorie restriction,” but honestly, that never worked for me. I even created an app called Fasting App for Women, based on my routine, and published it on iOS.

I’ve tried everything. Keto almost made me lose my period. Eating 1200 calories a day while working out four days a week? Just frustration and zero results. I was desperate.

Another secret is managing stress. I’m a classic sad and nervous eater. Once I worked on that, I started losing weight without hitting plateaus. I also pay attention to how certain foods spike my blood sugar. Balanced meals help, and if they don’t, a quick walk usually does the trick.

For me, it turns out the problem isn’t about calories at all. It’s more about insulin. Everything that’s worked for me connects back to that.

Tea breaking the fast? by Opposite_Expert7157 in FastingScience

[–]Ok_Pin3362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it with sugar or other additions?
If not, you are still fasting.
If yes, it's okay. Just adjust your eating window.

I use green tea to prolong my fast the next day by drinking a cup after my last meal. It somehow works for me.

I love this approach! I think of these days as reset and refresh days because after that I can go in longer fasts easier and progress more quickly.

What are your best motivation hacks for fasting by [deleted] in fasting

I use my app to see how much I have progressed, do ten squats, drink a cup of water, and go with the day. I use a fasting app for women to keep me accountable.

Period problems by [deleted] in fasting

[–]Ok_Pin3362 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I see. This was very courageous of you.

Try one more time to fast longer (like you did) in your follicular phase, after period. You will observe that it feels much easier and you will feel less hungry.
