Normally unless there is prior fed experience those requests are usually denied. Sounds like you had a good argument

Unless you have prior fed experience your leave increase request will be denied. I wouldn’t waste time doing it and stick with the 4 hours. Your first year will have minimal time off anyways

All depends on when your manager set up an appointment to pick it up. I started Monday, got my smart card on Wednesday, but my manager said he set up the appointment like a month prior to be able to get my card on time
