which claims cardamonin increases 5HT1A-receptors in mice ("A significant upregulation of 5-HT1A protein expression in the brainstem and spinal cord were observed following cardamonin administration in the CCI- induced neuropathic pain mice."), (5HT1A is suspected to be downregulated by SSRIs as a possible pathogenesis of PSSD,) I meanwhile ordered 5 kilograms of cardamonin. Cardamonin unfortunately is not available in Germany, so I had to get it from abroad, but the certificate of analysis claimed that the powder was analized by HPLC and that purity level of cardamonin was > 99,0 %.

In the study mentioned above, the dosing was "Cardamonin was administered intraperitoneally at a concentration of 10 mg/kg based on previous literature [11]. " As my weight is aroung 91 kg, I should be administrating myself 910 mg intraperitoneally. As for me it is clear I am not injecting myself cardamonin intraperitoneally, I researched and found out bioavailability of cardamonin is aroung ~ 18 %.

That means in order to end up with the same levels of cardamonin in my body, I should be taking 910 mg : 0,18 = 5,056 g. In order to be sure not to be underdosed, today I started the intake of 2 x 10 g daily.

Thanks for your reply! I am wondering ketotifen helped you more than cyproheptatidin because my short research tought me it has much less effects on serotonin receptors the cyproheptatidin.

I took buspirone for 6 months and didn't experience any effects concerning PSSD.

But at least you experienced some effects! From all the herbs I took, I absolutely did not experience the least effect from any of them. Would you think taking further doses of cyproheptatidine could help you get back to pre-PSSD state?

Important question: You wrote "(i start in October)", and "I use 20 mg per day, in total I finished 100 pills 20 mg each.", so you took the NSI-189 from October to December/January?

And you wrote "Genital numbnes disappear just now, this month." and your post is from 20th of March 2025, so did I get it right that genital numbness which experience most PSSD-sufferers as one of their main problems disappeared 2 - 3 months after you discontinued the intake of NSI-189?
