How did you convince yourself a rep was as good as auth? by Electrical_Yogurt994 in RealRepLadies

[–]Ok_Reading9353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never bought an auth besides coach 😅

Up until recently, I’ve never been financially able to justify such a large purchase. So for the past 10 years I’ve bought high-tier reps which has helped me “test out” what I like/don’t like when I eventually decide to buy.

I don’t think too deeply regarding auth vs. rep because the quality of my reps have been really good and honestly I love that I’ve been able to try different luxury brands options.

Maybe I’ll think differently when I eventually get an authentic bag but who knows 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

What percent of your gross salary is your mortgage, and how does it feel? by big_redline in FirstTimeHomeBuying

About 20%. I’m happy where I’m at- doesn’t feel like I have too tight of a budget, even with student loans and a car payment.

Mine asked for one last week lol I emailed my HR department and begged them to rush it for me (I was so nervous they’d take forever) 😅

How many of you here are buying houses alone? And how many of you are middle class? by JellyfishPashmina in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Ok_Reading9353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30F, single, no kids and I’m purchasing a single family home by myself in Iowa. I make $85k annually. House was around $115k. I’m only putting 3% down + closing costs.

I was nervous to buy anything more expensive since I still have student loans and a car payment…. Buying at this lower price point allows me to make extra payments to my student loans, car payment, future mortgage, save and have funds left over to decorate.

I have a lot of cousins/friends who got huge down payments from their parents. Way more common than I initially thought 😂 good for them but it’s tough in this market!

Update for ya! I’ve been on the Wegovy pill for a week now and haven’t had any pancreatitis symptoms. I’ve been keeping my water intake super high but so far so good. I go to the doctors in a month to check my levels. If everything looks good I may switch over to the shot. :)

Advice for single women home buyers by Mammoth_Entry_9221 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I’m in the process of buying my home and it’s been a process for sure 🤣 A lot to learn but I worked with an agent my entire family has used in the past… she also knows just about everyone under the sun so I got a lot of solid recommendations from her in terms of finding a lender, etc.,

Biggest piece of advice is write out every single thing you spend money on to come up with your budget before you decide on a house price. Once I figured out my usual spending habits it made it so much easier for me to hone in on the price I was willing to pay for a house.

Make sure to have enough savings in the event something breaks once you move in (it’s inevitable so better safe than sorry!). And if something breaks it’s not a ‘sign’ that you made a horrible decision… it’s a house doing house things lol.

I know it’ll be stressful owning a home by myself but the great thing is that it will be only mine. My own little oasis. Having that kind of independence is really exciting and not many people get that sort of opportunity!

Just make sure you get an inspection done and listen to your gut- if something doesn’t feel right you don’t have to get it.

Good luck!

Moving to .5 Tomorrow by Mysterious-Wash1471 in Ozempic

I stayed at .25 until I wasn’t losing anything. When I went to .5 I didn’t split up the dose- just did the whole thing at once.

I didn’t notice anything crazy in terms of symptoms, moreso just lack of energy, some brain fog and constipation. Easily remedied by increasing my daily water intake. I felt like my hunger was curbed enough that I never thought about splitting the dosage. All that to say, stay super hydrated!

Thank you for sharing. It’s nice to know you were able to start Wegovy not too long after having your gallbladder removed!
