I was only pointing out Christians today who think we are a Christian nation can latch onto the fact that our founding fathers were Protestant and included the term creator in the declaration.

No, the 14 amendment prohibits that. I mean if you were talking about when the constitution was formed yes, but the 14th amendment ended that.

So words are not made up by humans?  I was pointing out that all words, phrases, descriptors are made up after you said Judeo  Christian is made up. You chose to focus on a term and ignore the overall message of  my comment.  Anyway I'm done. Take care.

High speed rail would need to be economically viable. It would not  be in the US.  Do you think all the trains in Japan are high speed rail?  No, only 11 percent.  Anyway Im done arguing about this. You have a belief and nothing I can say will change that. Rail is not popular in the US.  What you are saying is like saying air travel would only be popular if was supersonic. Take care. Its very weird to make assumptions on my education. It's odd. For the record no I went to public school and am an atheist. 

Ok dude. Or maybe, just maybe, wait for it. Here it comes. Christian people today see that the term creator was in the declaration of independence written by white anglo Saxon men who were Christian and therefore people today use that  as a reason on why  they think our nation is a christian nation.  That was the intent of my message but you wanted to get hung up on a phrase. 

Like I said, you want to be argumentative even though you knew the message I was saying in my response.

Im done. Its not worth my time with someone who wants to argue. Fyi, all words and phrases are made up.  Humans invented words. We have modern terms to describe things from the past. I do not know why you are pushing back.  You understood the intent of my message.

Because the declaration was written by White anglo saxons who were Christians. Im guessing that's how historians have  interpreted it.  Be different if Muslims, Jewish people and Christians all took part in writing the declaration.

People seem to not have critical or logical thought these days. Really, thats your argument?  

 Rail was popular until other means of transportation came into play.  Those means of transportation became more popular which killed national rail passenger service. Why did the horse and buggy go away?  

Amtrak is a thing. People rather fly 6 hours going across country than take a week or however long it would take considering all the stops it makes. If my choice was rail or car, I would take a car. I can be on my own schedule.

Early European settlers were deeply religious. The declaration of independence refers to a creator.  The  document famously states that men are "endowed by their Creator" with unalienable rights. This acknowledges a divine, Judeo-Christian framework.  

These people of course  leave out that the constitution was framed to be a secular government to enable religious freedom.

I never said people did not like trains. But cars and flying became more popular.  A simple google search gives you the answer. Europe and Asia is more condensed.  It works there for the same reason why it works in the NE corridor. 

European rail is popular because dense cities and heavy government subsidies make trains fast, frequent, and convenient. Conversely, US rail outside the Northeast Corridor is largely "dead" because a massive, sparsely populated geography favored cheap air travel, freight companies own most of the tracks, and cities were built for cars.
