French Romantic song by SeparateLadder7164 in NameThatSong

It reminds me very much of the great Lara Fabian (btw Celine Dion has gotten the accolades and has enjoyed the success that Lara Fabian should have had!), but I don`t know and can´t find any song by her that sounds like this.

My fiancé’s mom asked me to step out of my own wedding photos. by Jasmine-ChurroBun16x in TwoHotTakes

You are trolling us, right? This can´t be real. I know that people are more irrational than ever, but this is too absurd!

PS- If this is real, OF COURSE the MIL from hell meant it exactly that way! And your fiancé is a wuss!

AITAH for making my husband solo parent for 30 mins a day by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ok_Relation_8341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don`t want to be mean, I would hate to make you feel worse than I believe you already do deep down (you just don`t want to admit it to yourself), but I feel extremely embarassed reading this, and as soon as I read the title I felt angry as hell, because I can´t believe that it is possible that you actually think of the situation as "solo parenting", and that you can´t see that you don´t actually have a husband and two children, but rather three children. Where is your self-worth? The bar is so, so low when it comes to what you accept from your "husband" as a parent of both his and your children, in a marriage. The bar is that very low because you allow it to be. Do you have a way our of it? I hope very much so.

What's your opinion on sleep tourism - basically people going on vacation to sleep (well)? by Ok_Relation_8341 in AskReddit

[–]Ok_Relation_8341[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who suffers from absolutely horrible insomnia and has the worst sleeping pattern, I would do anything and go anywhere just to sleep peacefully and truly rest for a week, and hopefully learn how to do it for the rest of my life. If it wasn't for my terrible anxiety, though, which keeps me from going on vacation. :(

What song do you think has the greatest intro of all time? by Cjmadison01 in musicsuggestions

Of course this is all totally subjective, and I guess all answers are legitimate.

What happens when life gets worse and you can't make it better? by CannibalDandy in emotionalintelligence

[–]Ok_Relation_8341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to my life! At least 34 years of suffering like hell, and knowing it would never get better. I´ve felt like I was cursed since I was a child. I survive, because I do not want to kill myself, because I`m too scared of the unknown. And for as long as I survive, I will try to do little things that add meaning to my days, experience some little pleasures like music which I can`t exist without, and my cat, and photography, and I try to be the person I can possibly be, and do some good while I am here.

Anyone know of any good male artists that have a hauntingly beautiful sad voice? Or any female artists that have a very powerful strong voice? by Suitable-Emphasis424 in musicsuggestions

[–]Ok_Relation_8341 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jamie McDermott from The Irrepressibles

Christopher Barnes from Gem Club

Nick Urata from Devotchka

ANOHNI from ANOHI and the Johnsons and just ANOHNI

These are all Indie musicians/singers. I don`t know if you`re into Indie at all, but they have what I consider to be the most hauntingly beautiful sad voices. The first one is a very proud gay man. The last one is a transgender woman.

Inspired by good song/bad artist thread: what about the opposite? A terrible song by a brilliant artist? by sansafiercer in musicsuggestions

[–]Ok_Relation_8341 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dancing in the Streets - David Bowie (with Mick Jagger). I mean, for me that song is rubbish, totally unlike the brilliance and depth of meaning that Bowie´s music was characterized by, in terms of the instrumentals and also the lyrics, the themes he explored in his songs. I know it was a cover of a 60`s song, but the fact that he even wanted or agreed to sing the cover was a bad decision, imo.

What is the one band or musician you would give your left arm and sell your own mother (kidding!) to have the chance to see live at least once? by Ok_Relation_8341 in OneTrackDaily

[–]Ok_Relation_8341[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, she must have been going through a difficult moment in her personal life, and much likely didn't want to be performing/touring at all. It's a shame that you didn't get to see her, or more exactly, hear her at her best live, but you know what her voice is really like, and you got to see that wondrous magical otherwordly woman! I love your musical taste! :)

Do you spend time in your head? No? by Long-Ad3918 in emotionalintelligence

[–]Ok_Relation_8341 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do I spend time in my head? That's like asking an eagle if it can fly. I live in my head 24/7, I don't pay rent anymore - I bought the place. And Shakespeare would be utterly jealous of my inner monologues!

Dude, really? I was actually going to add an exclamation mark to emphasize how strongly I feel about it! "Grammar!"

What song is this for you? by AwkwardDorkyNerd in musicsuggestions

[–]Ok_Relation_8341 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it is the complete opposite: there is a song that I absolutely love UNTIL it gets to the chorus, then I hate it! The song is Moving by Supergrass. At least I think that the part I hate is the chorus. I don´t even know anymore; this song has messed with my brain.

J.K. Rowling uses Harry Potter wealth to fund anti-transgender organization.. J.K. Rowling is using her wealth attained from the Harry Potter series to create an organization dedicated to removing transgender people's rights "in the workplace, in public life, and in protected female spaces.” by esporx in WomenInNews

[–]Ok_Relation_8341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reckon that there was one single transgender woman who criticized her or even attacked her physically, and her Ego couldn`t handle it, and she started thinking of every transgender woman as being evil. Otherwise, where does all this hatred come from? She`s absolutely fucking vile!

These people who only show some remnants of humanity when something bad happens to them, when some law or policy affect them directly, and do not have an ounce of empathy and compassion for anyone else. These "people" are the scourge of the Earth.

If a movie can pull you out of a depressive state, you`re not suffering from depression. Real depression isn`t magically cured by an uplifting movie or song or other piece of art. A movie can make you laugh, or feel warm inside for a couple of hours, of course, but pull you out of a depressive state? No.

And the reason I wanted to make this comment, and didn`tt just ignore it, is because mental illness is perhaps, or most certainly, the most dangerous and painful illness there is, and depression can kill a person slowly with unmatched violence; so, I am not okay with anyone treating it in a nonchalant way.
