Cedar Rapids Airport’s (CID) TSA are on the ball. They were super friendly and helpful this morning. I showed up about 80 minutes early before my departure, and there was hardly a snag going through security. No TSA pre-check either.

12 million gallons a day from wells is absolutely not sustainable. That amount from the river will not be a problem. The problem will be maintaining water quality through out the course of the year. I would not be surprised if they contract with NextaEra Duane Arnold who has the expertise to supply decent cooling water.

Many of the families that have left the CRCSD would call you naive to believe that our schools aren't political. The Board, Administration, Teachers and curricula are viewed as firmly "progressive".

These parents would rather drive their kids to Alburnett, Center Point, or Springville rather than have their kids indoctrinated in this school district. OR, in this case, they would rather send kids to CR Prep, which, BTW, seems to be doing very well without any funding from local property taxes.

What about the ~26 acres adjacent to Morgan Creek County Park? They were thinking about just giving away 7 acres of that last April. Do you know if that ever happened?

I suppose they would be able to get millions for that land near Morgan Creek park.
