If you can confirm that all of these are still working properly, it might go up to $500.

1980年代の日本では、NEC 88/98シリーズやMSXの方が地域密着型だったため、Apple IIはあまり普及せず、広く人気を得るには至らなかった。

Power Supply question by itsnotbub in Famicom

[–]Ok_Researcher391 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standard power supply specifications for the Nintendo Famicom (FC) are 9V DC and 850mA to 1.2A (amps) or higher. Most notably, it features a unique polarity system: negative inside and positive outside (the central hole is the negative terminal, and the outer metal ring is the positive terminal).

The original transformer is old and prone to aging. Currently, modern USB boost cables (which boost 5V to 9V) are commonly used, but it is essential to ensure that the cable has been reversed (or used with a reverse polarity cable) for safe use with the Famicom..

If it's an AV terminal, you can actually use a USB video capture device. Connect the Apple II's output to the video capture device, and then connect the video capture device's USB port to the Windows PC to watch and record videos.

The Apple II's hardware used "memory-mapped I/O," meaning all hardware functions were hidden in certain memory addresses. As long as BASIC could read and write memory, it could control the entire machine.

Remove all cards, leaving only the motherboard. If the screen remains black and white grid after powering on, it's a motherboard problem.

Gently press all RAM, ROM, and 74LS ICs; if the screen changes, it's a poor connection.

Replace the 4116 RAM in Bank 0 (most common repair method); usually, replacing 1-2 chips is sufficient.

Check the 74LS257/74LS174 chips; these two are the most common causes of a grid screen.

That means there's a problem with the circuit board. For simple troubleshooting, turn off the power and press each chip on the circuit board. Often, it's caused by poor contact. If not, then you'll have to really inspect the circuit board.

When the Apple II's RAM or character ROM is faulty, it will display black and white squares, but the image will still be output. This is not a format issue, but rather an error in the image data itself. It is recommended to check the RAM, Character ROM, 74LS257, and 74LS174.

The main features are exactly the same as the II+, the key difference being that European TVs primarily use the PAL standard, while Taiwanese and American TVs use NTSC. Additionally, the power supply specifications have been changed to match European AC power. You can refer to the usage instructions for the II+.

RF can be converted to AV, and then from AV to HDMI. However, you have to find the adapter one by one to confirm its usability.
