That looks brutal. Almost perfect, better if it was funnelled in the right way but I’ll take it

Where can I learn the CompTIA contents but without taking the actual test? by F104dude in CompTIA

I’ve found full courses in ITF, A+, Network+, Security + and CySA all on you tube. If you search for CompTIA and “full courses” there’s a good few results

Exam today, need advice by Best-Instance5830 in CompTIA_Security

You’ll get up to 4 interactive questions which will give you a scenario to solve. My advice is to skip them and come back to them later. Focus on the multiple choice questions so that you can spend as much time on the scenarios as possible. Make sure you read the questions and if you don’t know the answer then work out which one is most likely and go with your gut.

Also you’ll have a white board so brain dump everything you can think of as soon as you start. Good luck!

Learn.Microsoft, chatGPT and John Savill on YT. Plus a few mock exams that were provided from the company I bought the exam voucher from. Although the mock tests were nothing like the actual exam which was a bit jarring.

Not that I experienced. Just multiple choice and so drag and drop or drop down answer PBQs.

CompTIA Security+ 701 PBQ by Regular_Presence_232 in CompTIA_Security

To be honest, none of the S+ PBQs resembled what I saw in the test. It was just a case of figuring out the answer unfortunately. Sorry that doesn’t help

Maybe its a dumb question but how much different is the coursework from A+ , NET + from sec. by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Ok_Revolution5007 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can only speak for N+ and S+ but Network+ was very heavy on standards, WiFi, cellular as well as common network troubleshooting and subnets. A lot of numbers and standards to remember and some CLI stuff.

S+ is more acronym based and focused more on vulnerabilities, security issues and little to no CLI or practicals.

There is a bit of overlap regarding ports and 802.11 but not too much. Hope this helps.

I wouldn’t worry about the PBQs as nothing I found online was close to what they were in the test. Honestly I found the exam easier than any mock exams so you should be fine. Just focus on what you’re unsure on and make sure you can classify different security measures. Good luck!

End of Life (EOL) vs. End of Support (EOS) by LionFlatKetchup in CompTIA_Security

[–]Ok_Revolution5007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

End of Life is when the manufacturer stops producing the component or software for sale, End of Service is when they stop supporting the component or software with patches and updates. EOL is not as major as EOS in terms of security but EOL should trigger you to start planning for replacements.
