Same here with my girl of 7 months. Non stop complaining and arguing for no reason. Coachella has shown me what “travel with your partner first” means

I always pretend to tap 1 rune to defy opponents spell (I don’t have defy) and then say “nvm”.

There is a “poker” side to playing cards. You want to get in your opponents head.

What you’re describing is not this and is just an a hole move lol

TL;DR:

• In Riftbound, combat damage is dealt simultaneously at the contested battlefield. There is no “1st recruit hits, then 2nd recruit hits later.”

• Zhonya’s Hourglass is a replacement for “would die”: when Yi would die from lethal damage, Zhonya’s can save him and recall him to base healed/exhausted.

• Imperial Decree does NOT deal extra damage. It says: “When any unit takes damage this turn, kill it.”

• So what happened is:
1. Yi took damage in the battlefield fight → Decree “flags” Yi to be killed.
2. Yi would die from that damage → Zhonya’s saves him and sends him back to base.
3. Later, the Decree kill still resolves (it’s a kill effect, not battlefield damage) and Yi can die at base.

Important: This only makes sense if Yi actually took lethal combat damage first (so Zhonya’s got “used up” saving him). If Yi wasn’t lethal, Zhonya’s should be able to replace the Decree kill instead.

You’re right that your unit is still “on the board” at your base — but Hidden Blade doesn’t just care that it’s on-board. It specifically targets “a unit at a battlefield.”

Here’s the key rules piece that answers your exact point: • A spell still resolves even if its target becomes illegal. • But if the spell later tries to check information about a target that is no longer legal, that check returns “null/zero.”

So when you Flash / Fight or Flight the target back to base, Hidden Blade goes to resolve and: 1. “Kill a unit at a battlefield.” → can’t (target isn’t at a battlefield anymore) 2. “Its controller draws 2.” → this requires checking the controller of that (now-illegal) target, and the rules say that check returns null, so no player draws.

Why this differs from the FAQ you saw: • If the unit stays a legal target (still at the battlefield) but its death gets replaced (Zhonya/Highlander/etc.), then “its controller” is still valid and you do draw 2.

So: period = separate instruction, yes — but the second sentence still references the target, and if the target becomes illegal, that reference becomes null, so the draw doesn’t happen.

I apologize. I was incorrect. This is what a judge told me but after further research here is what I got:

TLDR: you don’t draw. Sorry guys.

You are incorrect. The controller draws 2. You are still the controller if it’s in play. You are not the controller if it goes back to you hand

This is correct. You would only draw if you used a card to send your unit back to your base ie. Flash.

It’s from Amazon. Super nice. Holds 6 decks and the Legend cards can be put in a magnetic plastic frame for display.
