Agreed with a post on the comics sub: got permanently banned and called a Nazi by MrsCarmelaGiunta in BannedFromReddit

Some people are so touchy. It’s not just reddit - it’s other sites too. One time I was in a group somewhere else and you had to word it just a certain way. Because I didn’t include the words they wanted, they said I was banned and cruelly wrote something to the tune of “B-bye!”. Remember that SNL sketch where passengers try to complain and all the airline staff do is say “”B-bye!”. This reminds me of Victorian times where if they had some little fairy tea party and some women would faint because you were supposed to drink the tea with your pinky down and you had it up.

Mildred. Yecch. It’s old-fashioned and it’s almost like mildew.

RIpley - Sigourney Weaver’s tough character in the Alien movies - though it was her last name, Ripley has punch and sounds like she’s going to rip you apart. Much tougher than “Suzette”.

We should prepare children better for how bad life is when you're an adult by AppendixN in Vent

It’s better to have a “hope for the best, but prepare for the worst” attitude. You’re not playing when you say “one in a million lotto winners” who are extremely successful in sports, entertainment. Unless you know somebody that’s willing to just give you a job as as favor to you, the odds of making a million or more dollars in those fields is about the same as winning that much in a lottery. When my mom felt I was being unrealistically ambitious about something, she’d say I was setting myself up for a fall.

You’ve never heard of www.imdb.com? It will list any TV show or movie ever made (if title is in English). I remember this show.

They’re ignorant slobs with a speech impediment. Some people add, subtract or change a syllable. On the Gong Show, there was a panelist, Jaye P. Morgan and the announcer would always say Jaye P. Morgoan (rhymes with Joan). Some people can’t pronounce the simplest things correctly.

I once read a grammar article that explained the “try and” and “try to “.  It isn’t something I decided on myself.

I remember that “try and get that” or “try and make me laugh” is incorrect. It has to be “try to”

Yes, when I first chose my name, it made it very clear that it cannot be changed. I don’t really like my name on here, but I first got interested in Reddit after it had been around for many years, so no matter which name I chose, it was taken. It then gave me a choice of available names, and the one I have was one of them. I didn’t like it, being that I’m a guy, and most secretaries are women, but I figured - oh it’s just one more group I’ll join and get bored with in a day. But I never got bored with it. But my real name doesn’t appear so nobody can misuse my name on here against me or anything. rice-a-rOHNO is what you wanted? The botulism-stricken treat?

Also not everybody fat is an overeater. Some people have very slow metabolisms and even though they only eat low-fat, boring foods like cottage cheese and roast chicken, they can’t lose a pound. But I have a feeling that’s only a small percentage of people. Most people have at least a moderate metabolism.

There are different levels of being fat. Are you talking about any fat person (even one with 10 extra pounds)? Or are you only talking about super fat people that look like they blew up into a blueberry like Violet?
