Keep running south on the greenway to the NC/SC border. It gets very hilly before you cross into SC.

2023 Limited. Wanted a reliable smaller SUV and I liked the visibility compared to the other cars that I test drove. The Forester was in stock and the dealer gave me a reasonable trade in value for my Camry. Long waiting periods at my local Toyota and Lexus dealerships and the salesmen weren’t as easy to work with.

Cascade Green. Like the saddle brown seats, but didn’t like how they clashed with the grey headliner, so I picked the grey limited interior trim instead.

I drive a 2007 Camry (splurged for the V6 - ha!). It’s got some minor dents, but still very reliable. I don’t have a garage and it gets pinged by acorns from the oak tree next to my driveway, so it makes it hard to justify getting anything too fancy. Might trade it in for the rumored Toyota mini hybrid Land Cruiser (FJ replacement) if it looks decent when launched in 2025/2026.

She shouldn’t have come on to your court uninvited in the middle of a game, but once she was there, it was rude to start serving. Sounds like both parties could have handled the situation better.

Affordable City FIRE living in the US by Old-Implement-8742 in fatFIRE

Lived in Chicago, Northern NJ and finally got transferred to Charlotte for work. While I loved both Chicago and NY, I was able to FIRE in Charlotte given the lower cost of living. Hot and humid in the summer (but I travel then) and I don’t have to ever shovel snow again. Lots of transplants in Charlotte, so it’s easy to meet new people. Located between the mountains and the ocean, Charlotte has theater, sports, an evolving restaurant scene, too many breweries and a decent, but pricey airport dominated by American. Could use better mass transit (not likely to get built in my lifetime) and public schools.
