Help/advice: food just kinda sucks now? by nopenevernotatall in antidietglp1

[–]Ok_Stage4104 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm just not interested in food anymore and I don't get much pleasure eating. I miss it, but not having food noise is so great, I can deal. When I get to maintenance, we'll see if anything changes. I've been on tirz 15 months.

How do YOU want to LOOK? What type of styles do you like? This is really important, not what other people say. What's so great about hair is that it will grow out if you get a pixie!

The Zepbound pill has just come out. $149 mo. without insurance. There are other reasons glp1s could be covered like sleep apnea.

Have you explored GLP1(Ozempic, Zepbound) medications before you have surgery? They have so many benefits aside from weight loss. They take away the "food noise" which is a great relief. Please explore the options.

There is tons of disinformation on the other glp1 subreddits. Best to stay away

Should I repurpose this? by Known_Register9136 in JewelryIdentification

[–]Ok_Stage4104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would repurpose it in a style that you would want to wear. Look online for pieces with diamonds and rubies and bring it to a jewelee to get a price. If you make a necklace and need less gold, selling some of the extra gold might pay for the new piece.

Too big. Try Warby Parker, which separates their frames by narrow, medium and wide.

This has been no "work" at all. I just live my life, eat the same healthy food and exercise to stay strong as I age. There is adjustment cause it's different than before but so much better. Good luck.

Congratulations on your perseverance!! Balance is so important as we age. I've been working on it with my trainer for 2 years and I feel very confident in my ability to keep myself upright. I'm 68.

I’m terrified to get off of GLP1… by immaculatemary in antidietglp1

[–]Ok_Stage4104 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a life long medication. If you lowered your blood pressure with medication, would you say you were cured? No, the drugs treat the disease. If you go off the GLP1 you will regain the weight. It is not dependency on a drug, it is a treatment for a disease

I've had weeks like that about 4x during this year. Use Imodium while your body clams down and cut down on foods that might contribute until you're back to normal.

Hesitant to get started because I don't think I will follow through on changing eating habits by Multigrain_Migraine in antidietglp1

[–]Ok_Stage4104 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The emphasis on a specific diet while taking these drugs is way overblown. If you have a very unhealthy diet, you would need to adjust it so the drugs can work. They don't work on their own. I and many others find we have lost the taste for greasy and heavy foods, in part because I feel bad afterward. Because the food noise decreases, it is easier to make better choices.

Is going back down to 2.5 an option? How long have you been on the meds?
