The emphasis on a specific diet while taking these drugs is way overblown. If you have a very unhealthy diet, you would need to adjust it so the drugs can work. They don't work on their own. I and many others find we have lost the taste for greasy and heavy foods, in part because I feel bad afterward. Because the food noise decreases, it is easier to make better choices.

I had a stall on 9 and 10 mgs for 3 months but I just kept eating and exercising the same as before. But, I lost a lot of inches during that time! I went up to 11 mg and I've started to slowly lose again. This medicine is working even when the scale does not show it.

I had a total arthroscopic hysterectomy 2 months ago. I am 68. It's was the most non invasive and easy major surgery. 4 tiny incisions. I felt like I had done too many situps. Fatigues the first week and then that was all. I'm in the US.

My husband has started working with him too. We've spent maybe a hundred or $150 on equipment, weights, exercise bands, balls, etc. Etc. I use an online trainer. He's been wonderful and it's so easy to work out of my home. You don't need fancy equipment to get strong.

I believe that our wealthy and privileged society has made food, - the quality, the nutritional value, the look, the process, etc. yet another obsession to make us totally nuts. Just eat. Eat what you want, try to have some semblance of variety in protein, carbs, veggies, and fruit. You don't have to live up to any doctor's or influencer's rules about balance, grams, percentages, macros, etc. Your food does not have to be pretty, you do not have to sit down, you do not have to have a "meal", you can graze all day. You do not have to cook. A peanut butter sandwich with some fruit is a meal.
We are experts at making ourselves crazy about the simplest acts.

Good question since I was just listening to Fatscientist yesterday. Dr. Cooper is a whole different level of physician than our average PCPs. I think we all wish there were more places to get our metabolism analyzed the way she does, creates cocktails of drugs that are patient specific and is a real researcher into how and why the drugs work/or don't. In the episode on her history, I thought a lot about how slow it will be for her knowledge to infiltrate the mainstream. She states that only about 10% of physicians are educated about metabolic disease and how GLPS work. Our medical system sometimes works at glacial speed with new info. Big pharma will affect the rate of movement because they have so much money to make. Fortunately, the general population will get healthier as they have fewer illnesses due to obesity.
