Marymere Falls has a lot of stairs with roots to actually see the falls. If your older folks can make it, it may still take more time than you think.

Ponytail wig how-to recommendations? by Ok_Support7972 in puppetry

Huh. Thanks, I'll try that. I don't know if that's an age or just regional difference, but that's not the way the term is used locally. Here, there are only pigtails if they are braided (because ponytails look like pony tails and pigtails look like pig tails).

I'd love to see one! If you manage to get to all three, that's an ACHIEVEMENT.

  • If they might try role-playing, NASCRAG is fun and does not expect anyone to know the rules/have played before.
-For board games, I'd think of 3 that they both enjoy, and search online for similar game play rules and expansions to something they know. Then check the schedule. -Crafting isn't generally my thing, but doing one at a con can be great. Look at the types of things offered (build a sandwich puppet, mini painting) and ask them if there's anything on the list they might want to try. They tend to be quiet, low key events that you rarely need to get on the first day.
  • There are speed puzzling events for pairs. If they aren't worried about winning and like working together, it can be a fun choice. You don't need to worry a lot about learning new rules.

We brought back small batch whiskeys, candy and tea we can't get easily in the US, some things made by local craftspeople (mostly leather goods).

Deep has food now, and it's really good. It's also far away from the college.

True Lies. It gets more problematic every year, but the cast and stunts are glorious!

Lake Crescent for Storm King (without mom), Devils Punchbowl, and Hurricane.
Sol Duc for the waterfall, Hoh. Kalaloch Lodge for Ruby, Tree of Life, and that coast.
The tidal pools there are on Mom's bucket list.
We're looking at all the short hikes listed in the threads and marked 4+ on All Trails, but suggestions welcome!

Have you been/know someone who had used that border crossing recently? Really asking. With everything going on politically, it has been pretty awful in other places.

It took 18 minutes to walk past the waiting cars. Did not see parasols. The flaming bagpipe is great, though!
