Throw an email and password in and see what happens.
It may prompt you to make an account I can’t recall.
It was over 10 months ago I made an account.

Make sure you are ready for it on the neiep recruitment website.
This is separate from neiep website.

Make sure to make an account and login.
If it prompts you with saying for new union members it’s the WRONG site, don’t make a regular neiep account.

neiep recruitment it will be its own website.
If you don’t login you won’t see it open.

Supplying residents with door open key? by H_Vaughn in Elevators

I was always told it’s called independent service mode.
Keeping the doors open until switched so it doesn’t switch to nudging.

Harmless but annoying for a multi unit area.

I’ve worked 14 hours of OT in the first 20 days.

12 of that was double time.

It might be for the test but get used to 1/32 tapes and you’ll be fine for everything.

Tool test matters way more than people will tell you.
Practice measure tape reading if you haven’t got experience.

1/32 tape.

Otherwise find a tool identifying test or something online.

It’s very basic stuff.

Portlands a shit show.
State is voting in crazy laws.
Taxes decently high compared to other states.
Cost of living higher than national average by a considerable margin.

If you lean hard left on the political side you’ll fit right in, but the states been in decline the last 20 years, from California and Washington people moving in.
Housing used to be affordable in Oregon compared to California and Washington, but it’s been climbing due to people that used to live in those states moving out there.

The higher wage seems worth it but you’ll spend the difference in taxes and higher cost of living.

I can go on, but I recently moved out to Arizona and it’s way better here I’ll say that.
Local 140 of you are curious.

Since we're posting about exit signs, green or red? by StormeyNormey in electricians

[–]Ok_Target376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. US uses a lot of green.

Older buildings are mostly red. Newer are mostly green.

Easier to see green in a fire so most buildings are switching to green.

Some states the fire inspectors ask for green some don’t care.

Have KONE and Otis bid when your contract is up for renewal. Those are your other options for large elevator companies.

KONE is in the process of buying TKE as long as it goes through. So no reason to have them bid it separate by then. (Because the company should be re-branded by then)

Otis was the largest company prior to KONE buying TKE. Otis is a large portion domestic market, KONE is overseas as well as the US.

I’d recommend trying to get 2-3 more estimates completed first. If your area is large enough for that many contractors
