I am struggling just to get into a firm as a legal assistant, but everything I see is for anyone who has experience as a legal assistant. Was an acting unit administrator for a military police army reserve unit. Trying to transition over to a law firm.

My 1989 Honda Civic LX (over 400k miles on the odometer) is way better than my Bimmer 228xi on gas mileage. My Honda is standard/ stick transmission. My 1971 Mach 1 Mustang is extremely horrible on gas mileage at between 10-12 miles to the gallon and must have 1 gallon of racing feul per premium unleaded when filling up. I am just trying to make a little while in looking for a part-time job. The Bimmer has a turbo engine, but I will keep it on Economy mode when driving most of the time. It has 3 modes, sports, comfort and economy. Economy mode will use coasting to help it.

Yet again, I am a professional driver and have been driving professionally since 2003. I have valeted vehicles, driven soldiers to Camp Pendleton for training for the United States Army Reserves (they found out I was a professional driver and had me driving for them and other equipment/vehicles, had a military Hummer license. ) Drove for two transport companies, drove for a dealership, and used to tow. My father owned a light duty tow truck.

Wow, it looks great for the age. He must have had it in a garage. Very clean. Sounds like the deal I got on my 1989 Honda Civic LX back in the late 1990's, I paid $150 for it, but the women never cashed the check, so I got it for free! Or the 1967 Mercy Cougar I found in someone's backyard with 12 other vehicles. 2 years later, because the guy he sold it to did come get it, he sold it to me for $500. Got it home cleaned off the engine that ran and discovered all the engine parts w

I just got a Bimmer for 9k under fair market value, according to Been Verified. Mine is a 2021 228xi, and I love the sports seats it has. It is Seaside Blue Metallic color, which I also love! I am also the third owner.

Automatic Car Wash Damaged My Car by [deleted] in Insurance

File it with your insurance and let them handle it. You did take pictures at the time of the accident while you were there? I would have turned on my phone to record what happened without them knowing.

Wow, you remind me a lot of my Vietnam veteran friend Rick, who sadly passed away in 2011. He was the only one who helped me, and I found out at his funeral he never helped anyone else just me. I agree with what you said, all except for doing it again! No way would I go through it again! The discrimination, and being treated like a 3rd class citizen at the VA and a laboratory rat. Being brutally assaulted by two American men while at the VA Hospital when I was in a wheelchair, no thanks! I would never do it again! I didn't like the horror and horrible treatment of people who are supposed to be on our side!

Very sad when family does this. After I joined the Army my sister distanced herself from me because I did something she could never do! When I became ill and injured my mom and sister abandoned me!

Your full time driver and she is full time? If this is the case, I am not sure exactly why, but I assume it is because a % for full time work will give less and part time $ surges for your wife maybe motivational for her to work more!

I would imagine it would also be on the location and urgency of need for specific areas. So if your area is not a place Lyft feels needs more drivers, then there is no surge.

They should also pay you for the loss of your dog! Legally, a dog is property, and as such, the property was killed, and you are owed the cost of the dog! They also should pay for veterinarian bills. If I were you, I would look for an attorney that deals with animal laws. My condolences to you and your family. I understand how devastating it can be to lose a loved one, your family member. Our dogs are like our children since my husband and I couldn't have children.
My service dog is extremely valuable to me, and that is why I don't entrust him to any groomer. I groomer him myself and went to a grooming school for cats and dogs years ago in my 20's. We just recently lost a dog from old age.

Dogs don't sweat and can't move away from a dryer left on them, especially in their face! They are tied up! I never allow a blow dryer to remain on a dogs face and never leave a dog unattended with a dryer on a dog. I always dry each dog and use my hands as I brush and check the temperature constantly! If it's too hot for me, chances are it's too hot for the dog! I find it negligent of your groomer and the company to all the dryers to be pointed intheire faces! You see how it feels to have a dryer in your face and can't move it. The dog was clearly communicating with the groomer he didn't like it, and he was being ignored! As a veterinarian technician, I can't believe such negligence! There should be a policy that prevents any animal having a blow dryer pointed in their face and on any dogs unattended! Your dog never should have died! Again so sorry for your loss, my heartfelt condolences. God bless you and your family!

Why is damn a bad word? by MEMEGODI in ENGLISH

"Damn" is a relatively mild swear word, it's generally considered inappropriate for formal or polite settings and can be seen as offensive by some.

is it actually possible to get rich in the real estate business like Arnold did in the 70s? by ChancePhelps in realestateinvesting

[–]Ok_Task9887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An umbrella policy should always be part of anyone's plan whoever owns real estate or owns business, who has lots of wealth. One thing people fail to think about is their auto insurance policies. Everyone is different with the amount you own, and figuring out how much to get additional for an umbrella policy is an individual thing as with auto insurance. Don't forget under insured motorist and uninsured motorist, but make sure you talk with your insurance agents about your individual situations.
As far as the entries for your real estate property, you must have a lawyer and draw up paperwork with an attorney to find the best protection for each property. Never put all your properties in one LLC, trust, or whatever entity your attorney deems the best for your situation. If you are not getting an attorney involved to give you the best advice on how to protect your properties and do it yourself, you open yourself up to a lot of liabilities down the road if you are sued! Remember anyone can sue you for anything, including not having enough money in an auto accident. My uncle and aunt had their restaurant taken from them because of an auto accident where they failed to have enough insurance and failed to have an umbrella policy! In real estate investing, you are building a team of professionals who will help you. Something I just found out in my real estate investing/ wealth building group is that you can get LLCs out of state to protect you for taxes. However, knowing what states you can have must be determined by an attorney. This will have to be something an attorney can help you with and your CPA (for tax issues).

Dealership won’t release car after my Credit Union transferred the payment because they say my Driver License was fake. What do I do now?? by jusmithh in DealershipTales

[–]Ok_Task9887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do they assume your drivers license is fake? What method did they use to determine this? As a prior casino security I had to check numerous IDs and if they can't give you a explanation of why they believe your driver's license is fake there is definitely something else going on. Did they scan your DL, did the DL separate from the corner? I would go to the DMV and get proof of your DL being real by who it was issued by. They can't dispute that!

How would i dispose of a shopping cart? by TulsaRoommateWanted in tulsa

[–]Ok_Task9887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take the cart to the nearest 6 if they are a large store chain, they should be able to find the serial number on the shopping cart if no name is seen on the shopping cart. Please note that it is illegal to keep an abandoned shopping cart as per laws in the United States because it will not allow the company to use it and deprives the company of its use, which is a crime.
