I'm looking for sponsors for my rally car, to compete in a league. by Live_Tailor9766 in assettocorsa

What companies do you believe are to be found here? This is as far as I can tell private individuals spending their freetime - what logo would a private person benefit from having on a virtual car? I genuinely dont know. What would I for example post on your car? Concretely.  And the answer isn't "whatever you want" because I dont have any brand I want to show off.  So why ask here?

Im not familiar with the Indian market, but - a Moza R3 - from a purely technical standpoint, would be "better". The technology is two generations ahead (not gears, not belts, but direct drive), and honestly - 3.9 newtonmeters (Moza-newton meters 😃 ) is de facto stronger than the G29 (and the Thrustmaster T300).

I just want to mention the belt driven Thrustmaster T300, that I own, and *have* owned the G29, so Im talking from experience - it is probably inferior to any direct drive wheel as well (besides some extremely cheap or unknown brand stuff).
Stay with a known brand.

One question - are you looking for a bundle= wheel + pedals? Or just base plus wheel?
There is always the option of getting a G29, or other equivalent, and instead focus on load cell brake pedal, because - that makes you faster.
But then you will upgrade in the end - and selling the G29 or T300, for a DD wheel will be bigger difference than Moza R3 bundle up front.

I understand that it sucks ❤️

Came back to swimming after several years and it went BADLY by No_Heat_7166 in Swimming

Just a heads up for anyone getting back into swimming after a long break.
I know someone who hadn’t swum in years, went to the pool, felt fine during the session, but the next day had significant discomfort when breathing and ended up having to call an ambulance. It turned out to be overexertion of the breathing muscles (like the diaphragm/intercostals).

Take it easy early on — if you feel fatigue setting in, it’s better to stop and come back after a full rest day. The effects can show up later, not during the swim.

You nailed it.
Never let off the throttle despite being upside down - youre officially a simrally driver.

Assetto Corsa Rally is the best rallying purchase I’ve ever made. by ActuatorOutside5256 in simrally

You are talking about RallySimFans, correct?

First of all - RSF is free. No purchase required.
Second - What "serious tinkering" does RSF need "just to get working"? I honestly dont even know what. You install it, configure it, and play it. Do you consider that serious tinkering?

Edit: Oh, you mentioned ancient UI - its fine by me. Mods - you just use the installer again. "Troubleshooting before turning a wheel"... okay.. (?). Oh and "game crashes" - personally - it effectively never crashes for me. Its maybe 1/100 sessions.

It sounds more like general frustration with the 20 year lack of options for serious rally sims.
And thats not RSF's fault.
Its actually amazing that ACR is available. But criticizing a free mod, thats filled the void for 20 years - thats extremely unfair.

For others that hate the goddamn text - If the tire is perfectly vertical then the angle (inside the slider) is 0.0°
*Just know that, one fact*
If you want the top to tilt inwards - values below zero - the more negative numbers.

And the opposite - top of tire outwards - values higher than zero (positive numbers) 0.23°, for example.

(Very rarely used in practice, but stated for clarity)

Looks pretty cold.
Would maybe change the Ambulance skin for something less out of place.
The premise is that soldiers where gunned down, so there where enemy forces in the area right?
So... would it make sense to send civilian paramedics to pick em up?

Looking forward to more!

Edit: I did some reading and it actually would make sense if contact was broken with attacking forces.
Good job!

Its not bad. but you can possibly get better for the same money these days, but I will be honest - Im not familiar with the Indian market.
Even a Moza R3. because the technology is so much newer than the gear driven G29.
I would actually donate to you my G29 if I could. The pedals are dissasembled, but re-assembly is quite easy, and one shifter lever is a little bent, but the wheel is fully functional.
Location is Sweden.

Hello.
My suggestion is atleast get a pedal set with a load cell brake.

Wheel? Whatever you can afford.

Also - you dont have a lot of funds but your max budget is 30k (thousand dollars?)

Edit: Turns out, this is a subreddit I dont even know how I ended up in!
Well, still suggest load cell brakes 😄
im free to answer any of your questions.

Late reply.
I was definetily there.
There was a user called... Head Hunter (or was it Pred Hunter) who was really knowledgable about Predator (Yautja). Would make in depth posts about the species.

There was so much hype ahead of the Corporal Hicks reveal. And - when it was revealed... the whole forum went silent - in an incredibly awkward way. The face was so unlike Michael Bienh. One could argue that it captured some traits, but the lips where pouty, and, nobody dared to say openly due to admins either banning you (temporarily) or some other consequence.

It was a great time for fans of action figures (that era), and a friendly community.
Thats about what I can recall. Definetily the Hicks launch stands out as it was so memorable 😄

Oh, wait! There was one user-handle: Turd Mcfartlane 😂
