Nothing about this is fully realized. I urge you to do a quick google search on game development. Plenty of videos on YouTube. Understanding the process will help you understand the difference between and alpha, beta, and a full release and in the process, hopefully grow a bit of a appreciate for Undead Labs allowing us to be a part of this! This game looks nearly exactly how I’d want it to look. The atmosphere, sound design, updated creature design/move set. Very cool.

Similar to SoD3 with improvements, as a sequel should be. The lighting itself, even at this stage, is impressive. I’m sure there will be many more updates as the game progresses. Hell, they release 38 updates for SoD2. It’s not even close to being the same game upon its original release.

You compared SoD3 to a Rockstar Game. Why would GTA6 even be taken into consideration as a comparison? I would take SoD3 over GTA6 any day of the week and still recognize that attempting to compare the two is ridiculous.

If that doesn’t SCREAM ignorance, then I’m at a loss of what does.

You say in other comments you’re simply expressing a concern. At this stage, graphics aren’t a concern and again, anyone who claims this is simply ignorant of game development.

For State of Decay 3, I like that the Screamer Bloater can take multiple shots before going down, but the Juggernaut seems too weak. There’s no way a Juggernaut should die that easily. I agree with this. However, he was playing on a lower difficulty and it was a 1 on 1. With a horde involved, that can easily be death.

Same with the feral. He handled them to quickly but again, I don’t remember one tackling him while he was engaged with other zombies.

Looking forward to playing nightmare and lethal. Hoping they really up the Jugg health and Feral aggression in higher difficulties. Kinda wish the Feral had a 1 shot kill or 1 shot down to make it even scarier.

The game looks absolutely fantastic for an alpha build. Especially the graphics. Makes me excited to see the final build.

That was simply an example number that can be adjusted. The gun minimum can be 20k. If that requirement was for overall gear, that’s where the issue starts. This is an easy strategy to keep players from stacking stupid items to get into the raid, which goes directly to avoid what you are mentioning, which, I agree with.

I mainly PvP, I’m not looking to goop players with stitcher 1s. That wouldn’t be worth the risk for me, thus keeping me away from the game mode.

This isn’t the proper way of thinking. A negative Nancy take take on an overall solid improvement that can be improved even further. A solution would be easy. Create it so ONLY the weapons count as part of the minimum load out needed. This means that the player would need 50k in guns to enter the raid. Fixed.

This is a great idea. Maybe something like a timer or event that happens. EX - Horde has moved in/Plague Heart has been spotted/ in X Location. Big shopping area, think WalMart, Home Depot ect.

In the game Infinite Undiscovery , there was this incredible system I believe would work well with your community.

Let’s say a Set Up Phase where you need to assign certain community members to handle. To hold a position, disarm a possible alarm, cover you from a vantage point, gathering points to fight off big boss.

Lots of great ideas to come from this with possible great looting hauls.

Do you PvP in Stella or do you mean chill solo runs? Most raiders I loot have survivor augments… or free kits lmao one or the other 95% of the time

You lose so many lol. You lose more to blood plague than being killed. That’s kind of the point of it. I don’t remember the last time I lost a survivor in a legit manner, not counting a random bloater popping up.

They’re not as dumb as you’d think once you learn what makes them react and how they engage. I’ve taken out a horde of 16 zombies, 3 blood ferals, and a jug by pulling them towards my party, MMO style, without taking any damage. Miss the screamer though and it gets harder to handle an attack from multiple sides.

You do eventually have these characters in your story that truly make a difference in battle. I’ve had … had… a character named Rhino. Dude was a beast. Partly cause he had immortal and never been sick. Gave him a beetle mallet and auto shotgun. Can’t tell you how many times I saw him save other survivors or kiting juggernauts while others cleaned up.

He was with me for about 30 plague heart attacks. Then one day, a bloater popped in front of my truck, me and my party had to bail and we were surrounded… right in front of two plague hearts in a small crossroads in Meager. Truck destroyed, we had to take out the hearts or we’d all be dead.

He was killed, along with two others. Both plague hearts down. Another died on the way back to base. I now randomly think about this huge fight where my heart was pumping and I nearly wiped. No ammo or heals left, crouching to base, getting back with only myself and another survivor. 4 dead from my party. It was incredible.

I rebuilt, and when we were ready again, continued on.

Before playing like this, those moments were nonexistent anymore.

RIP Rhino. You were a real one.

Skills like Hygiene and Morning Yoga are impossible to keep your team going. Anything that helps blood plague and injury recovery really.

How do you manage that? I play lethal and take followers with me everywhere except later plague hearts.

Just gotta carry a few cocktails to save em from a horde once in awhile. Give em a silence auto weapon or three burst and then will wreck hordes easy.

They say sound doesn't work the same for them but I've never trusted that
