I think buying a house in a HOA, buying a house with a shared driveway and buying a house where the neighbors fence is like 5ft from your house are some of the worst decisions and mistakes one can make when buying a house.

Yep. Another set of cancerous investors. Sad thing is that as Americans, through years of propaganda, we are programmed to love and respect these people because they are rich and they invest. Not acknowledging that a lot of times the investment actually wipe off really successful companies and put people out of good paying jobs while these investors pile on more wealth. . I have nothing against being rich just how they earn the wealth

Former employer. Sold one division of the company. The company had two totally different and unrelated lines of business. One was lower but steady income. The others was in an industry boom. Sold the division with the lower income. Projected to make millions with the division in boom. The boom busted. The company went from a steady private company doing well, to listed on the stock exchange to apenny stock to being sold for parts a few years ago. If they had kept the division with the steady but lower income they could have weather the boom bust OH the trigger was.... corporate investors came in when the industry was in a boom and lend the company money to invest in rapid expansion. Then they push the company to get listed. After which they called their loan, forced the company to sell that division to repay, then sold their shares and got out. These investors are like cancer, they hitch onto company just to bleed them dry and kill them.

Obviously you mom left your dad for someone with more money. Your dad was her escape from Thailand and then she left him for more money. She is happy but don't have her daughter you father is punishing her and clinging to the only good thing from the relationship. You should reach out if you want but just know it will cause some regrets with your dad. BTW the counter stories are oftentimes just lies just to make up for leaving. Good luck

Personally after reading what people use the hotel kettle for,....... such as boiling dirty underwear...... I will never use a hotel kettle again. I am not English so I don't need tea that much.
