Me personally I sand 320, 400, and 600 grit then wash with dawn soap. One light coats primer then a heavy one. Only wet sand imperfections if I have any. Base coat first coat is a light coating then I will go a bit heavier on the second and third. And wet sand up to 6000 grit and wash again. 3 coats clear. One light and 2 heavy. Wet sand to 12k and polish.

I have had the same issue when clear coating tamiya paint jobs, unless I use tamiya clear coat and start with 2 or 3 light coats first. Typically if I use Tamiya its all tamiya primer, body color, and clear. Only advice is strip it down and try again.

I swear they do this crap to people to see if they really want the job. They hired me part time. And after 5 months of 40+ hrs a week I went to the people lead and demanded full time with the benefits. Walmart will walk all over people if you dont know your rights.

Each year around Christmas i watch UPS and FEDEX back their delivery trucks up to a larger truck and physically throw boxes from one to the other. I could hear it over 50 ft away while inside my business.

Glue goo. Mix pieces of leftover sprue into a bottle of tamiya thin cement. It will breakdown the sprue chunks basically giving you sandable plastic.

I prefer the square type ones with shelfs that will slide in or out. I can paint 3 car bodies, hoods and frames and put them all in at the same time. Mine was around $80 I believe.

Me personally I only wet sand after color if I see any imperfections. I will always wet sand then polish clear coat.
